A trip down memory lane... 18:05 - Feb 18 with 628 viewsRSCOSWORTH

Stumbled across this on YouTube today, a week too late really but still worth a watch. Those were the days!

Anyone on here go to that game? And/or know the scorers?

Poll: How many polls will Leadbelly do this season?

Was indeed present at the fixture .
First goal was scored by Richard Wilkins, second scored by bald headed centre half Neale Marmon and the two penalties tucked away by Trevor Morgan.
Although a thumping home win, we were unable to pull clear from the bottom places in the table ( please note current incumbents), and ended falling through the football league trapdoor to the non league scene of the Vauxhall Conferance, now known has the Vandarama National League.

Cheers bwildered. I thought that was Neale Marmon but wasn't sure on the other goalscorers. I forgot this was the relegation season, not such good old days after all.

If relegation wasn’t bad enough, to add insult to injury it was the Strovers shirt season as well.

Yes RS , Morgan and Wilkins looked quite similar. However young Richard Wilkins usually played with half rolled up sleeves and very mobile, while Trevor Morgan was your target man type.
Marmon had the (ever popular on my head ) Bobby. Charlton locks .

I thought Strovers was when we returned to the league?

Either way, we were relegated out of the league in a blue shirt.

Correct Daniel, Strovers were sponsors couple of seasons later in 1993/4 . In the clip featured the U’s were sponsored by Norcross Estates.
