In a strange twist of events l found myself in conversation with a young lady who had attended Layer Road for a match against Hull City in our first season in The Championship. The 5-1 encounter.

We were attending a promo evening for a band called The Datsuns in North London in 2008.

During the evening she explained that she had been present at a party that made the national news due to the tragic death of someone by the name of Mark Blanco.

The incident occurred in December 2006.

This incident will be shown on Channel 4 on Monday night at 22.00 in an hour long documentary and several people known to me have made contributions.

It may be of interest to some.

I am very much hoping that the police will reinvestigate the death of Mark Blanco as a result of what will be included in the content.

I know that what l was told by this young lady 15 years ago has been instrumental in the making of this documentary.

Carrying on from the above l would like five substitutes named at Division 1, 2, and National League level with only three being used.

Additionally l would like to see a reduction in loan signings.

Maybe a cap of three or four at any one time.

Loan signings were virtually unheard of historically.

I doubt if Colchester United averaged more than one a season for many years but when these players did join the club they went straight into the team and had an instant effect.

The current Colchester United business model will lose around a couple of million pounds a year.

Who the xxxx is going to be stupid enough to buy into that?

And while on the subject, what is really for sale here?

What is the future for Florence Park?

What is the future for Forrester's Park?

Surely these assets were once part of a business master plan that appears to have run aground.

Colchester United's funding is based on the recruitment market. That is in freefall.

The club debts will be piling up with every waking hour with the future business horizon approaching in darker shades of grey.

Episode 16.

A five hour session this morning inspecting vinyl records.

One of the boxes was packed with Beatles and Rolling Stones EP's and singles....and then up popped a copy of the ultra rare soul demo single 'She Blew a Good Thing' by The American Poets from 1966 which is worth more than the entire contents of the box - and there were some decent bits in there.

In the following canvas bag were some non descript LP's then l saw a rare record sleeve. It was the 'Shadow' Aftermath by The Stones.

The sleeve alone is worth more than the rest of the bag contents.

It's nice giving folk good news about their possessions which they quite often have no knowledge of value

i'm back tomorrow for another shift.

An individual l am in touch with has just sold his record collection to a buyer in America who flew to the UK to check through everything over 48 hours.

The agreed price was 150,000 US dollars.

It's all safely back in California now.

I seem to have moved temporarily from my CO1 dwelling to a warehouse on the edge of town.

I'm building a house inside a large space and the walls are constructed of boxes of vinyl records.

Wave after wave.

Highlights from the morning shift included some unplayed Beatles LP's that have been in storage for over 40 years.

The Fairport Convention debut album on Polydor also appeared....this predates the Sandy Denny era.

I have a stocked kitchen too and It's turning into a working holiday.
