Nothing special. St. Patrick's day tends to be a much bigger affair abroad than in Ireland. We do get a Bank Holiday tomorrow, though, so that means a nice long weekend to chill.

I have seen lots of bar bands butcher Danny Boy almost as badly as the muppets over here in the US so its no shock at all They dyed the river green in Chicago yesterday for the parade and they do it every year but no fish are ever harmed its not toxic supposedly . Had a few drinks last night with my friend from Killarney who is a life long Leeds fan and I was afraid to bring up our meeting at Loftus Road at the end of April

I'm about to bring my family into Ennistymon, a small town in County Clare to experience a rural St Patrick's Day parade. It should be a bit of craic, followed by the obligatory drowning of the shamrock in a local hostelry, serenaded by some local traditional musicians.
