I doubt players like him have ever made it onto our radar.
Until March when relegation become almost a dead cert our scouting setup (such as it is) were probably still looking at Champions League players.
It will have been years since 'Arry has dipped into League One for players, likewise Broomfield.
Hopefully we have a few realistic targets in mind now though (i.e. not Crouch or Parker). |  | | |

Saw him play last season and thought he was terrible.

Absolutely.
We simply cannot be in for every player out there who is on the move.
We have to buy the players who must suit what we are trying to achieve.
I do think that Harry has had his wings clipped regarding who we can sign & value of the signing. Simpson is a good example of who & what we should be buying, so far it's a good policy. Think we will continue with signings like him to strengthen the squad & target specific areas that need strengthening. |  |
