The stadium has been in decline for years, and I put that down to the owner rather than the council. There are countless examples of poor or non-existent maintenance.
The seats are a prime example. The executive seats in W4, W5 and W6 are falling apart, despite being among the most expensive in the ground. Those that have been replaced have simply been swapped with seats from other areas, leaving parts of the stadium devoid of seating.
When we played Wrexham a couple of seasons ago, we could have sold out the ground, but we couldn't because there weren't enough seats available. From a business perspective, it would have made sense to invest in replacement seats and recoup the cost immediately through a sell-out crowd. |  |
