Assistant Manager 14:05 - Jun 9 with 728 viewsburnsieespana

I felt a somewhat mixed message from DeSouza over the pending appointment.
My best guess is Mullins wants an experienced person from outside but inside the decision making process somebody pushing for an internal appointment.
Have wondered if Chambers might come in as a player/coach as do believe he is working on his badges or even Skuse as he is already coaching at a school in Ipswich.
Wonder if we may get a bit of clarity when Col U TV is launched?

I picked up similar vibes. The piece did say someone "with experience" but it didn't actually specify experience in what. Generally don't experienced assistants want to go on and have a crack at a big job themselves so, in coaching terms, you tend to get inexperienced assistants? Certainly at our level where you don't tend to employ management teams as a unit like they tend to in the Prem. My first thought was someone like Skuse or Chambers maybe as a player/assistant although I'm not convinced that's what we need.

The new assistant manager is expected to be an external appointment. Close to signing.
