I must admit, I do sometimes piss myself when I think about your trophy cabinet

The thing is your club have spent 86 years in the top two divisions and haven't managed to win either. How many chances do you need?

Your club is about 60th on the win 'any' league championship list

Has your club got Acrophobia?

What do you know about winning trophies?

I mean, how many is that this century for us, 4? or 5 with the League Trophy thing? Gets a bit tiring doesn't it!!

I obviously didn't go, but I'm sure the nippers enjoyed it.

I'm sure if your club ever won anything again, you'd have a weekend festival at Southampton Common, or even build a memorial in the city parks.

"What's the point having a players lap of appreciation after the second from last home game of the season"?

Ehh, Maybe because we had won something.

No open bus celebration. That was your club celebrating the 40th anniversary of your cup win

This seems to happen more often than not as well. Any reason for clearing off early?

It could be that your superb passing game could prevail against Norwich/ West Brom and then Leeds/ Ipswich providing the defence can tighten up over two games. Is that likely?

So, are we going to have one, or even two next season?

The thing is, I just don't think you are a big enough club to know how to win things.

Come on guys, what do the red side of Hampshire actually know about the intricacies and pitfalls of 'Pitch Celebrations' ?

Josh Simms has just scored against Rangers
at 12:09 15 Apr 2024

The thing is, that didn't start to happen till mid 2021; when he was 24.

So, he has massively underachieved if the hype was to be believed. If he has real talent, then he won't be long at Ross County

My guess, he is a lower club Championship player at best.

What a player. He has even managed to get 2 goals in 42 apps for Ross County.

He's just made 100 British league apps while turning 27.

Dirk Doon said he would be the best Soton graduate in your history. I guess he didn't quite live up to the hype.

You guys need to look at the bigger picture.

Next season is your best chance for years to win a league championship, what with Sheff United and Burnley almost certainly dropping down.

You need to make sure you have the right manager to be able to get your first league championship in 65 years ie since 1960. Its one hell of an opportunity for your club.

Should Russel Martins be sacked if we don’t win playoffs
at 10:50 7 Apr 2024

Yes, but the point you are missing is that the team only get booed if they don’t put enough effort in, and it isn’t a regular thing.

The other point you are missing is that the fans really do get behind the team at all sorts of moments in a game, and lift them. Its why our club so often gets voted one of the best fan bases.

Crystal palace and Stoke have won sod all, bar a few lower league championships, but both fan bases can be vociferous. So, we have at least 2 clubs who have won less than your club, but still regularly manage to get in the best/ noisiest fans lists.

I think the appreciation of our fans towards our team, certainly does help the club in winning trophies
