Hey all,
Not posted for years. However, I was running the Plymouth Half Marathon today and lo and behold, there was a group of Hoops fans running the 10k. Must’ve been at least 10 all wearing shirts of various vintages.
Did not expect that down here in the SW!
If it was anyone from here / good showing guys and gals!!

One word - phenomenal!! Woudn't fancy being a Scotsman if, as you say, it's close with 20-30 to go and you start to see that lot rumble on!

I like Scotland. Think they were underrated at the start of the tournament and have, by and large, proved that with the annoying exception of Paris! Think they'll come up short in the end (England are due to hit their stride sometime) but it'll be a cracker. England by 10

Still think Italy have a surprise in them and this could be their weekend. France know they're out of it and I think Italy realise they let themselves down in the first couple of fixtures - also that they will continue to progress under O'Shea. Call me mad for letting my heart rule my head but I'm going for a repeat of their win over SA!

Wales Ireland, for me, is the toughest to call. Wales are on a downward spiral and I don't think Howley is inspiring anyone. However, they are at home and the pressure is on Ireland. If Wales can raise their game in the way they would if it they were playing England I can see this going either way. Can't make my mind up but I think it'll be decided by no more than 3 points. Comfy fence this.

I think it'll be the best weekend yet!

My predictions for the weekend:

Scotland to beat Wales. The loss of Laidlaw is significant but think home advantage is key for the Scots here.

France to beat Ireland. Not sure if that is heart over head or if I really think Ireland are overrated. I know Sexton is back but I just feel France will sneak it.

England at a canter over Italy. Maybe not by as much as the Irish win in Rome but still a BP

Pretty much agree with this.

The one I've been undecided on is the France/Scotland game. I think the fact it is in Paris makes me go for the French win - reckon it'd be the other way round if it was in Murrayfield

Likewise, I thought Scotland may well turn Ireland over - will be interesting to see how the Irish cope. Personally I felt they were overrated - but so many far more knowledgeable than I (not just here) had it down as England and Ireland in either order for the top 2.

All the weekend has shown me is that 2-4 will be very hard to call.

Still think England will win. I reckon EJ will have learnt a lot and you'll see Marler, Haskell and Nowell back in the starting line up against the Welsh.

Can see France, Ireland and Scotland all beating each other so those 3 spots could go any way. Really impressed with the Scots and I hope they continue on their current trajectory.

I always felt Italy/Wales was the Wooden Spoon match and nothing from yesterday made me think otherwise.

Rugby is so much better than football :-)

Now I've got that out of the way.....

France, to me are the enigma. A good Autumn and I really thought they'd be tougher than many expect this time round. However, they seem to have quite the injury list at the moment so I don't really know what to expect from them - to me they could easily place anywhere from 2nd - 5th.

I like Scotland's progress and I think they will provide a stern test for any of the other teams.

Wales seem to be heading in one direction. Italy in the other.... I don't think they'll avoid the Wooden Spoon but it could be close. Sunday will be very interesting.

I'm going to go with:

1. England
2. Ireland
3. France
4. Scotland
5. Wales
6. Italy

We've really got into the whole binge watching thing on Netflix over the last couple of years. Some highlights:

Friday Night Lights - this kicked it all off for us. Different but brilliant
Breaking Bad - superb and the series from which Better Call Saul is a spin off
Better Call Saul - see above
House of Cards - we enjoyed this but maybe not as much as some. Well worth watching
Homeland - another in the superb category
Orphan Black - just finished getting up to date on this. Excellent. Started as a 'we'll give it a go' type of thing and quickly got hooked

Not Netflix but well worth digging out:

Scandal - another of the ones we got into early doors and still love
Lucifer - new on Amazon Prime (in the middle of Season 2). Love it

There's probably others that I've missed but these are our stand outs

Well I'm a QPR fan who has been posting on this site in its various guises for over 15 years if that's alright with you.

I don't watch football much these days as I alluded to - like many others I have lost my love for the game.

Despite this I will always be a QPR fan.

I tuned in today in the hope that it may have been enjoyable.

I was sadly (but not surprisingly) disappointed.

Harlequins Gloucester was great though

Noticed from my Facebook feed that the game was on so jumped on the feed at half time and settled down to watch my first bit of football in at least a year.

I've lasted 15 minutes - this is crap.

Why is someone like Perch even on a professional football field>

How can you get sent off for something like that.

Oh well, not long till Harlequins v Gloucester

Night all
