Ihonvien will be a very good signing indeed (if his injury problems are firmly in the rear view) and would be a great replacement if Tovide does indeed leave. As for Tovide going in a swap deal for Kyrell Lisbie it would be nice if it happened but Posh would have to bring in yet another striker with a proven goalscoring record (which is not impossible) |

Using the Lisbie cash makes sense but I'm hoping that we can also use available funds to get a quality striker in as well. |

Could be a very good signing for us if it happens. Just need a goalkeeper and a striker or 2 now... [Post edited 2 Jul 9:07]

Harry Anderson, Teddy Bishop, Makise Evans, Samuel Kuffour, Kaion Lisbie, Alfie Newby & Jack Paynare are all contracted until next year so they're ok. Dominic Gape was released as presumably are JK Gordon & Jack Baldwin who didn't feature much last season and spent the tail end loaned out at Rochdale & Eastleigh respectively. The others out of contract/released didn't really feature for us and I assume the rest of the team either have longer contracts or are in negotiation for new contracts and/or still playing for us until we hear otherwise? As it stands we need to replace Macey (1st choice GK), Read, Gape (both MF) and Kyreece Lisbie (FW) and see who stays on with us next season out of the players who are negotiating contracts with us. Plus I hope that some of our academy (like Milton Oni) start to come good next season. [Post edited 29 Jun 13:14]

With 2 key players gone and no 1st choice goalkeeper (though Tom Smith has shown promise tbf) we really need to get our finger out with signing players. Thankfully we've held on to most of our decent players and we've got the youngest Lisbie so hopefully he'll prove to be as good as his 2 older brothers.. |

Admittedly I've never been RC's biggest fan as I didn't agree with a lot of his decisions (esp his managerial appointments a few years ago) but then I'm not involved in running the club and don't have access to the balance sheets. I will say however that in this selling the club saga that he does seem to be making the correct decisions here as we want an owner who's fully committed to the club and not someone who is just half hearted or has another motive that isn't in the clubs interests. I'm sure the correct buyer will come in at some point but as long as RC runs the club properly in the meantime then we need to back him whether we agree with his decisions or not. |

I wonder what JT's business model was for the club? Hopefully someone else will come in who's less controversial and got fewer skeletons in their closet. |

Only coaching experience hes got is Paull Cooks understudy st Chesterfield. Should have gone for someone with solid NL experience or taken a punt on Sparky now Carliele offloaded him. |

So Sparky has run out of charge there then? [Post edited 29 May 14:18]

I wonder what would have happened if Mr Crisp wasn't such an idiot towards Mike Walker and his son Ian signed pro terms with us? Promotion & a large transfer fee received instead of down to the 5th flight I reckon... |

Ian Atkins left the club in 1991 after we finished 2nd in the Conference though was he sacked or did he resign? Then Big Roy took over... Atkins later on took Northampton from near the bottom of the 4th flight in 1995 to the 3rd flight play offs in 1998 (and then down again) |

Bolton are up so they won't have that indignity. I wonder how the Hammers will get on at Sincil Bank? I'd be concerned about going down next season if I was a Spurs fan but not as much as a Bin Men fan. I can see Lampard attracting some good players to The Ricoh this summer. |

No Xena or Ripley? They are local (well they are the 2 Zebra Sharks in their local sealife centre) |

I doubt LG would leave Borehamwood for Seaweed tbh, he'd be more likely and sensible to go for a League 2 or possibly even a League 1 side than a side that finished lower in the NL. Ex Chelmsford manager Angelo Harrop would be a more likely contender for Seaweed supremo tbh as he worked wonders with Braintree before overspending chronically just to keep them in the NL and would probably do better with a bigger budget. Now theres a nice bit of loyalty in the Seaweed part of Essex. Scumend win the FA trophy and reward Kevin Maher by telling him "Thanks very much, goodbye." At least we didn't do that with Big Roy back in the day, well at least not until we finished 17th in Division 3 and he was discovered to be be playing away from home in more ways than one... |

Macey probably wants L1 or maybe even Championship football next season. Shamal George would be a good one to bring back if he doesn't mind dropping from L1 & taking a possible pay cut. Otherwise we would have to look at other experienced Goalkeepers who have a good record but have been released. However I don't think many transfer deals will be done until we know if JT's consortium take over is complete or RC remains owner until another buyer comes in |
