Lots of stories around about football clubs in all codes going bust (we have 4 football codes in Australia). Seems somehow wrong to be thinking about football when there's people sick and dying but I don't know what I'd do without football or QPR. Our little club has been the love of my life for over 45 years.
Might be time to give young Eze a rest I think. Old fashioned 4-4-2 with Chair up front with Hugill. Clarke and BOS out wide and I’d drop Kane for Rangel to make us better defensively. Now is the time to ge solid not adventurous. Hall needs a rest too so bring back Barbet.
Are they really necessary? Of course nations want all their best footballers for matches but surely the league games could continue. Football is about good squads so surely international players who are called up can be replaced easily enough. Would mean regular opportunities for younger players and would also reduce some of the fixture pile ups we have currently. Without international breaks, the 46 games Championship season wouldn’t have to schedule as many mid week games.
Of course none of the “big” clubs would agree which is ironic given that they also have the best squads and could handle it better than most.
According to a mate who’s a United fan,our Schteve could be in the frame to go back to Old Trafford as Head Coach if they appoint a United Old boy like Solskjaer as Manager. Can’t see it myself but the irony of us starting to look good at last is that his stocks may be on the rise again. He’d be off like a bride’s nighty if Man U came calling methinks.
At the beach yesterday and My little lad was wearing the QPR cap he nicked off me. Wave washed it off never to be seen again but we’ve had a laugh thinking about where it might end up. He said “Dad, maybe someone in another country will find it and wear it because QPR is a good team”
Poor little fella is only 5 but already a deluded Rs fan. 😃
