Season over for EFL
at 16:58 1 May 2020

I think that this season should be allowed to complete, even if we cannot restart it for another 3 or 4 months. Then we start the next season after a short break.

Maybe even better when its not really clear when any restart will occur (after all it could take until 2021) just combine this season with the next. That way the teams at the top benefit from the points lead they already have, likewise those at the bottom. Then at the end of the combined season promotion and relegations occur as normal. Probbaly the fairest way to deal with this issue?

just cancelled Sky sports

Yesterday evening I managed to pause my sky sports subscription online. The Sky Covid page had a big PAUSE button to click on.

The whole thing took just 10 seconds

If you drive to home games then be aware this may affect you from 2021.

Or drive an Electric Car - not a hybrid, a proper BEV

No worries about London congestion charges or ULEZ.

Charge your car at home for 5p per kw at night and drive for 'peanuts' fuel cost . 8000 miles per year for approx £100 in electricity costs assuming you charge at home using Octopus Go tariff

15 more years of 'normal' cars left
at 10:54 4 Feb 2020

Spot on

I’ve been driving an EV for 4 years now. We are no tree huggers but are thinking of the world we are leaving our children and grandchildren

Yes they are more expensive to buy but not necessarily so if you lease them. And they are dead cheap to run.

Currently (no pun) I pay just 5p per kw to charge my car. My annual mileage of approx 8000 miles costs me £100 in fuel. £100 for 8000 miles.

Many EV owners also have solar panels so their annual motoring fuel bill is literally peanuts.

To many people spout absolute bullocks when trying to put down EVs

All Hate Leeds Clap Your Hands Thread
at 15:05 18 Jan 2020

Watching in the luxury of 4K in a warm home I was on the edge of my seat throughout the second half.

This was a great result and it about time we benefitted from the “rub of the green”

To be honest I was concerned at the number of times we gave the ball away, many times after having just won it.

Leeds attack was very wasteful with their clear chances - I’m sure a Brentford would have converted at least two.

But that does not detract from our performance today, as we too wasted a couple of golden chances.

I thought their penalty was a tad iffy and thank goodness it was Kelley not Lumley today having to deal with the penalty shot. Talking of which that soft and gentle shot was that of a player who is low in confidence.

Well played team especially the defence !

I think you are right. Your analogy with Liverpool is fair.

Yes I too think we can 'get there' but its going to take a good few years to get there. I had hoped one or two but more likely it will take us 3, 4 or 5 yrs.

We need incremental progression every 6 months - transfer window . Players may come and go but each time we need to be bettering ourselves. And sticking with Warbs for the next 2 years is the start - even if his team selections at times, like today, are setting us up to lose before we even start.

But over the coming months we will need to be ruthless too. Players can and will make mistakes but some like Lumley are inherently not part of the solution to our woes.

And perhaps we should make plans for Eze to stay. He's inconsistent. Often uplayable and then again just as often very quiet. Perhaps whats best for him is another 2 years at QPR - with constant incremental improvements - and then be looking for a big money move.

Hopefully by this time next year BOS, Eze and Chair might well be able to boss the opposition - just like the Brentford front 3 did today - and be able to do that week in week out.

But our defence is the area thats going to cause us headaches until it consistently denies the opposition goals. Only from a solid defence can a promotion winning team emerge.

Based on his last few performances I can’t see anyone coming in with any “big” offer for Eze this month.

Maybe that’s for the best?

But let it not detract from the fact that we were dire in the first half and had lost this game in the first 22 mins

Warbs got it totally wrong from the get go. And not a single QPR player earned their money in the first half

The half time sub helped matters but so many of our players have been very very poor today. Rabbits in headlights

Brentford have been faster than us, quicker to the ball than us. More organised and more skill full.

They are aggressive when needs be and have beaten us in every way. When we get the ball we are generally very quick to loose it

Not a single QPR player has played well so far.

But in the last 15 mins we have stopped slipping over and so far we have not (yet) conceded again

They were well watering the pitch prior to kick off. Interestingly Brentford players don’t have this problem. Maybe they have longer studs in their boots?

The ground has been prepared to their advantage of course - as it should be😬
