I never thought I would see myself say this, but in some regards it may be more important that Spors stays.
Spors and Tonda have worked together for 10 years or so (on and off), and know each other extremely well.
I think the only chance of Tonda leaving is if Spors leaves first. |

I have never liked Arteta.
On the rare occasions that I have watched Prem football, he rarely stays inside the coaching area pitchside. He just thinks he can do what he wants.
It was mainly because of him that I was pleased that PSG won the Champions League Final last season.
He needs reining in. |

I got home at 2.30am.
Went to a Reytons gig at British Airways ARC, a new venue at Olympia.
Lovely venue, except the cloakroom, which was a farce. Took over an hour to get our coats at the end of the gig, so didn't get out of there until just before midnight.
Handily trains back from Clapham Junction were running OK.
A great day. |

1. My first visit since the horrendous 3-0 defeat in 2018 under Mark Hughes. Swore I would never go back there again. Yesterday was slightly different….
2. I do like the Howling Hops pub there near Hackney Wick station; went there before and after the game. Heaving, but plenty of bar staff, so all good. Weird thing going on with the sinks in the loos though, with a gap which leads through to the sinks in the ladies’ loos…..
3. Ridiculous number of security checks and ticket checks at the ground, including ticket checks at half-time. They are clearly on to people taking screenshot pics of digital tickets though.
4. Never seen a ground empty so quickly while the game was still going on.
5. Yesterday was a moment. The rest of the League should really fear us now.

What a day.
Topped off by a riotous Reston gig at British Airways ARC at Kensington Olympia.
Got home with my daughter at 2.30am (in old money…) but one of the very best days.
Good to see a number of Ugly regulars yesterday. |

For all this “nice little club” drivel that some spout on here, it should be remembered that they cheated their way up to the Prem in 2015 and got little more than a slap on the wrist.
Their disregard for the rules was arguably much more cynical and over a longer period of time than Saints.

Driving to Basingrad and then training it up, as am at a Reytons gig at Olympia after the game, so may not get home on the night if relying wholly on trains, what with the engineering works between Eastleigh and Bournemouth.
Will therefore have to watch the beer intake. |
