That is the reality and questions have been asked, Nourry in that Q+A video said they would review the recruitment, medical and rehabilitation processes to see if they can make improvements, he didn't seem particularly acceptant of the injury issues. I'm wondering what lies you've been told otherwise |

14th in spend with an entire Championship attack out injured for most the season, if I'm not surprised at a mid table finish at this point, is that my lack of standards or just reality? We had a chance to consolidate during the Prem years of 11-15 but years of mismanagement by clueless ownership is why those teams have overtaken us and why we're playing persistent catch up. We're still paying a record fine to this day whilst other clubs get a slap on the wrist for even more egregious offences. Now again will you say it's the fanbases fault for "why we are where we are"? Saito, Smyth and Edwards are retained from last season and would've expected the older players that we sold would receive a higher wage than younger players that we brought in. I don't think it'll make that much of a difference but we'll see this time next year |

Derby, Stoke and Luton spent more and were beneath us. It can go both ways depending on how you look at it. Regardless, if you have the revenue of a mid table club, the spend of a mid table club, I'm not that surprised that we're likely going to end up a mid table club |

We've also shipped a lot wage off the bill (Paal, Andersen, Frey, Fox, Colback, Celar, Field, Morrison, Santos - that's also assuming the loan sales have wages covered). I would've assumed the number has decreased or stayed about the same, maybe I'm wrong |

The accounts are for last season, 14th on wages, finished 15th. I guess you can claim that's underperforming but we're about where we should be right? |

My assumption with the loans are that with non league loans it means the player can still train and play for the DS. For example Jake Coomes plays with Bracknell on weekends but trains and plays for DS like in mid week, just gives them experience in men's football I suppose Otherwise Cooper playing in Championship, Lloyd is out in League 1, Sutton League 2 and Bennie was set to go for a League 1 move also before we ended up needing him in the squad. Thats better than we've done in a long time. Remember Chair and Eze broke into our 1st team after League 2 loans |

He talks in the video about the groundsman being harassed, earlier in the season people were messaging Nourry's family, then already in this thread we have personal jabs, someone wanting to slap him, people not even listening to the video completely lying about some of his answers. I know there's a lot of talk of abuse of the squad coming from other platforms but I don't think the apple is falling far from the tree here. I agree with you Lisbon 100% and feel like I should just avoid these threads unless we're coming off a win |
 | Forum Reply | Where is Poku? at 19:20 10 Feb 2026
Suggesting his fee was decreased because of a supposed injury ridden career was a decent start as it's completely wrong. He's had one injury in his career before which was the Hamstring last season but still played 31 games, source below. https://www.transfermarkt.co.u As Nix pointed out, we all know he's out with an aggravated hamstring injury. We all know how difficult it can be to rehabilitate these types of injuries, this isn't anything new, just see Chris Willock. If you think it's just an us issue you can take a read of the below article talking about the increase in the quantity and duration of these injuries. Even right now Stoke have 3 of these. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/fo |

His contract was expired and any money was compensation due to development, the fee would have been millions otherwise. Rewind to the summer and we were talking about how impressive that Poku had already played 220+ games before the age of 23. He's been very unlucky this season and hopefully can overcome this but there seems to be a bit of rewriting of history in this thread |

Not trying to use it as a cop out for the individual, wishing an injury on a player is lowest of the low, but then on one of your own? For me that is a sorry excuse for a "supporter", it's actively the complete opposite of the definition. That part of twitter is ugly and from what I see has turned into two sets of fanbases in itself. There is that side that you've pointed out, there is another side that will do the exact same for the younger players (Kolli, Bennie). They pit themselves against eachother, arguments intensify and unfortunately players get the rear end of it all from no fault of their own |

Love Smythy and the direct messages he received before were beyond vile but I don't think he should be name searching like this. The guy posting that is not a supporter and wouldn't say anything like this in person, anonymity and ease of access make this far too common for all high profile players. Shaming is great but I imagine they're just looking for attention which they've now got. That's social media for you |

Yep you would be right, if I'm remembering events correctly we were first in and set to sign but Forest came in last moment with big bucks I'm sure |
 | Forum Reply | Steve Cook - Total Pro at 21:10 7 Feb 2026
I think one of our biggest fumbles was losing out to Forest signing him in January 2022 with us being 4th and them being 9th. Massive turning point for both clubs I think. Wish we had him for longer, wish he was younger. Top pro and at this point I hope we can extend for a year in the summer, even if he's not playing as much as right now it must be great to have him around with our young CB group (Edwards, Smith, Akindileni) |

If I ever wanted someone to succeed... their fans saying he was class today. Might already be a thread for him specifically but Murphy Cooper is getting rave reviews for his games so far for Wednesday, small sample size but he would be 2nd in the league for save %. Be interesting what we do in the summer, especially if Walsh can keep playing like he did last night. |

Is that a misspelling or a bit of an ill timed joke? Thought he was coming into some better form and we're really missing creative players of his ilk right now, that's a really devastating blow for the guy I hope the fella in PU is feeling bad for repeatedly calling him weak and to get up at least |
