Thinks? It seems more like he can! |

We should all know that very few managers stick around when offerd more in wages and greater resources. Hoping that ANY manager has bought into the project so much they won't leave is naive at best. In fact the ony time managers won't walk away is when they are failing, they don't quit then, they wait for the sack and the big payout. |

The whole point is they get that defence so it is proved beyond a reasonable doubt. If they don't get a defence then innocent people will end up in prison. The poster you refer too is a very good person, a very nice person. How our legal system is set up is not his fault and he does the best job he can within it. |

They all bother me. We've seen what AI has been doing even when it is supposed to be contained. Just wait til it's fully developed and criminals get their hands on it, and please don't anyone try to say it won't happen. There will be a version of armageddon one day, it'll be the day they have to turn the internet off because technology has become the biggest risk to humanity. Imagine that happening one night and the Uk woke up to no internet, no mobile phones or ipads/laptops. What woukd young people do, how would we pay for stuff, how would anybody find out anything. There's be riots in some places but most people would spend the day refusing to believe it had happened and standing around stupified. |

With that many charges and all the attempted murder, if he's found guilty (how could he not be...waits for the mental health defence!) he should never come out of prison, but then, how many of his sentences will be set to run concurrently. I'll say this too, concurrent sentences atre a complete cop out (excuse the pun) and should never, ever be used again. Do the crime, do the time, all of it. We need more prisons for serious criminals. |

But the majority did not vote for them. The majority never vote and that is part of the problem. The dickwads in the Senedd can't even see they are pushing ever more people towards Reform. |

From what I've read the riots in Italy have been partly about Gaza/Palestine but also because of the cost of living. My wife isn't happy because myself and our 18 year old son are off to Rome on NOvember 7th to watch Roma v Sassuolo. It is absurd that despite the evidence there is still a clamour to rejoin. the EU. There has been a lot of unrest across the membership, members closing borders against the rules, financial issues, riots (France also had the "Gilet Jaunes" a while back. Germany has had immigration protests too. Across the EU there is a political concensus about the way forward that seems at odds with the growing public sentiment. Maybe the EU will collapse. The UK economy surprisingly grew in August, only by 0.1% but the experts predicted a contraction didn't they? Taking a look around, centrists are few and far between. We have moved further apart, I'll call it further ;left and further right if not "far" in both cases, apart from maybe Reform who are further right again than the Tories. Honestly, people don't like the prediction by some experts that we are heading for a war but it does seem to be on the horizon. Trump openly siding with Putin again and his MAGA followers seeming to be happy with that ( WT absolute F is that about?) Putin had a wet dream about Trump giving him support and it came true and now riots across Europe. |

Just take it a game at a time. Matos has picked teams and chosen tactics for the next match and he's done very well. Southampton was the error but I'm sure he learned from that. Put simply, I am only worrying about West Ham on Saturday, I'll worry about the other teams when we meet them. |

Jenrick? Farage? Holy Jeeeez, Badenoch yes and maybe Lowe too but not those Reform muppets. Why would anybody want failed Tories? people who jumped ship for their own good, not the good of the country. |

That's how the wealthy reain and increase their wealth. That's why we have to tax assets not income. |

A "wholly political career" is the root cause of the problem. These people are usually better off themselves too. When people talk about the Boomer generation pulling up the drawbridge, they aim at the wrong people. Those truly pulling up that hypothetical drawbridge are the rich and powerful, politicians and their friends. Apparently around 9.1 million in the Uk are economically inactive whilst 34.5 million are working, Then the really barmy figures, the number of people who receive benefits of any kind, according to AI, • State Pension Age: 13.4 million people (including those receiving the State Pension) • Working Age: 10.0 million people • Under 16: 860,000 children (receiving Disability Living Allowance) Key DWP Benefit Claimants (August 2025 – March 2026 Data) • State Pension: 13.2 million claimants • Universal Credit: 8.3 million claimants • Personal Independence Payment (PIP): 3.8 million claimants • Attendance Allowance: 1.7 million claimants • Housing Benefit: 1.5 million claimants • Pension Credit: 1.4 million claimants • Carer’s Allowance: 1.3 million claimants • Disability Living Allowance (DLA): 1.3 million claimants • Employment and Support Allowance (ESA): 999,000 claimants • Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA): 71,000 claimants 8.3 million working people get universal credit. That is a massive subsidy to corporations, even those making record profits. That's where they need to look, raise the minimum wage for companies over a certain size, make corporations pay more in wages. If they leave the Uk it's an opportunity for someone else (or many others) to start up their own business. |

My opinion, we're had pressed to find any politician who isn't there to do someone else's bidding. Most of these "elected representatives" are bought and paid for. If not when they are standing for election certainly soon after. I wonder how many of our so called great and good have shares in petrol companies? Burnham pfaffing about with google maps is utterly nonsensical when he has the power to do something about fuel prices immediately by reducing fuel duty and/or VAT. Maybe he should try being honest and say he doesn't want to help because the government is raking in the tax revenue. |

I kind of agree but there's a whole lot more to it. We see clubs chasing the Premier league dream and we know how our own wage bill shot up trying to avoid relegation. Then it's something else that's been said about Manchester City, all their spending inflated the market so transfer fees rose, wages rose. No player should be on 500k per week, it's absurd. Even today with so many clubs in tonnes of debt some supporters defend the wages. The fit and proper test has failed, the FFP/PSR rregulations didn't go far enough quick enough and now football could be on the verge of a catastrophic collapse. Also in the news, the football regulator has said he'll quit if Burnham doesn't butt out. He doesn't want political interference and rightly so. |

Burnham says so and we should accept it, well I don't. Even if he produces proof I'll be cynically asking, who invented this? All this yalk of intervention from forign actors, if the government had told us the truth in the first place we would never even have joined the EU because they KNEW, they knew political integration was part of the plan. They also knew the British people back then would never have gone for it. All those people who had fought in WW2, who had risked literally everything to keep this country sovereign would never have agreed to the EU. Now we have young people screaming us older ones have screwed them while at the same time saying they wouldn't fight for this country if there was a war. They want all the good stuff without any of the effort and can't even see how ruined the country is. Shall I liken it to those countries from where people flee to come here. One day soon people may be fleeing Europe if things aren't sorted out. Russia is pushing hard, the USA is being crazy, the middle east is a tinderbox again. Where will people run to? |
