SWP says we can make the playoffs
at 22:56 8 Nov 2023

All right Shaun mate, we've all had a drink.

β€œIf Cifuentes can get QPR playing football, and there are some good individual footballers in the squad, so it is possible, then they can make a push for the play-offs this season. They’re 16 points off the top six at the moment, so it won’t be an easy task, but it is possible."

Would we have been better off going down last season?
at 06:26 25 Oct 2023

It does seem inevitable that we are going down, so surviving last year has just rewarded us with an even less enjoyable season completely hamstrung by FFP.

If we'd been relegated we would have the more relaxed rules in the league below and maybe could have looked towards rebuilding. Seems were going that way anyhow and this is just a wasted season now. Has surviving last season just prolonged the misery?

Is there a realistic alternative to Ainsworth?
at 03:49 6 Aug 2023

We all know things look very grim right now and many want him gone, but is there actually anyone available that would firstly even entertain this job and secondly be any better than GA given the obvious constraints?

I genuinely feel for the guy and believe he's giving it everything he has. But the constant forced positivity interviews that are getting very repetitive are wearing thin. He's inherited a mess for sure but it still feels like a lot of the players aren't having him or possibly just aren't having the club any more.

Its tough. He clearly had players at Wycombe who bought in and was able to build a culture there, but as we know there's a few here with questionable levels of commitment to say the least. How on earth can he turn it around and if not him who else could do better with no money available?

Is it time?

To have separate message boards for QPR and non QPR related things such as politics, speculation over who the BBC person is, anything else etc which sometimes turn quite unpleasant. I know other sites do this.

Martin not staying
at 12:40 1 Jul 2023

More surprisingly good news after the Dykes contract. Felt sure he'd stay on.

Did the job he came in to do and scored some crucial goals, especially Burnley away. Time for both parties to move on though.

This is brilliant. Look at the spirit of the group and the leadership from Balogun. I was wrong about him, I admit it. Superb signing if he stays fit.

Terry Connor
at 04:58 23 Mar 2015

I know people were blasted for comparing Ramsey to Connor based on skin colour., but the similarities don't end there. Alf has achieved one win which is something Connor never managed, but other than that the following from Connor's wikipedia page is uncanny:

In February 2012, he was given the role of manager by Wolves until the end of the current season, after the sacking of Mick McCarthy. Chief executive Jez Moxey confirmed that the position was offered to one other candidate, widely considered by the media to be Alan Curbishley, who refused the position before Connor was appointed. This was despite the club's chief executive Jez Moxey stating that the job would be given to an experienced manager.

Connor took charge with Wolves in 18th place, one of five teams at the foot of the table looking to avoid the three relegation places. His first game in charge brought a 2β€”2 draw at Newcastle United on 25 February 2012. However, his side then suffered seven consecutive defeats which left them rooted to the bottom of the table and were relegated on 22 April after a 0β€”2 defeat to Manchester City. In his thirteen games, he failed to achieve any wins and gained only four points from a possible 39. The team finished bottom of the table with one of the lowest points tallies in their history (25).

Derby down to 5th

Lost 0-1 v Boro to a Bamford goal and now 5 points off the auto spots, closer in fact to 7th.

Another Zamora moment coming for them?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we quite recently outplay them despite their manager having in depth knowledge of all things QPR?

Why the fear?
