Our best hope is he gets stuck in the Ellerslie Road cabbage patch and can’t free himself.

Not as big a Kolli fan as some but thought with little to no service he added something. Maybe play him for a bit. Or leave him on the bench for four games before leaving him out the squad entirely for a month. Whatever.

That was tremendous. Bloke is lying on the floor and he sprays his silly little foam in a far less dangerous position for the free kick. Did he think Madsen had rolled six times to get there when he wasn’t looking?

I’m sure it used to be a thing that teams did a lot. Rarely if ever now so it’s not just us. Just strikes me as something easy to do mid-game without making a sub. Some clever analyst has probably decided it increases the xG against.

Eagerly anticipating the post-match thoughts on him/they/it.

Didn’t help a lot that we attacked down the other wing almost every time. Rarely seemed to have the ball.

I wish when things aren’t going well we’d just switch the wingers for a bit. Give the full-back a different challenge. All four who played today were dire but none played on ‘their’ side at all.

My kind of XI. Much as I’m not a Nardi fan I’m not sure Hamer is much better if at all. The odds have shortened marginally since the teams were announced.

Guess we’ll be seeing JCS around Easter time.

I don’t get it either but, being kind to Saito, the theory may be he’s got the potential to be the far superior player with a run in the side. Not something I agree with and I think if we’re playing 4-4-2 particularly away from home Smyth is a very important starter. Love the guy and particularly when we aren’t playing well he’s one you can rely on to dig in which I’m rarely confident is the case with the other wingers.

Not sure making a sub appearance in a friendly is going to add much to his value when he’s churning out ghost performances regularly in the second division.

Flew with Vueling the other day and it was far superior to BA economy and the usual budget airlines for legroom.

Surprised how passive many of the comments are. Yeah we’d have taken this position and yeah you aren’t likely to get scintillating performances with second string players but that was atrocious for the supposed calibre of players out there. Against bloody West Brom whose fans have the knives out for their dismal manager.

And there was ample time to change it after the winning goal and he waited and waited and waited while we created nothing and got worse if anything. They rightly sussed out that doubling up on our pretty lousy wingers was all that was required and he did nothing really to give us an option through the middle. Could have brought Smyth on and pushed Poku inside or put Dembele off Kone or Kolli. Own Goal finished the game as by far our best attacking player.

Pick whatever tactics and formation you want. Play without bollocks and it won’t matter and that performance completely lacked bollocks. Lost the vast majority of the ‘duels’ and were simply cowardly with the ball, going backwards and mostly losing it anyway when we did have it in half decent positions through luck more than judgement. 2-1 down to a dire team low on confidence and it’s like a competition for how quickly we can play it back to Hamer from their half.

If someone is dumb enough to give us serious money for him I’d happily take my chances on Hayden/Morgan filling that spot.

Vale falling over the ball with our last chance to get it forward exemplifies the whole thing. Like they’re on Valium.

This has been a disgusting performance. Like a Sunday league team the morning after being on the piss until 3am. All of them dreadful.

Coventry keeper just made possibly one of the best saves I’ve ever seen. Looks brilliant every time I’ve seen him.

Morgan-Dunne-Morrison-RobertoCarlos

Madsen-Varane-Field

Poku-Kone-Saito

Is my guess.
