Mainoo did not have a good game last night but is a decent player and one for the future imho. I thought Eze was average last night too. Olise was the star last night - very good indeed. Players cannot play brilliant every game. |

Really, so what level do you think he will play at??? PS - I have asked you questions before and you do not or cannot answer them so I expect the same here!!! |

Come on Lblock.....those words are really not necessary. Do you actually know if he really was told to go out on loan and if he was what were the offers on he table. Wrong Lblock, wrong. Same as WS and his comments - poor, very poor. Good luck to the lad, comes across as a decent person. [Post edited 7 May 9:06]

The No2, Calm, is his No1.......he is most important to the partnership & the Team/Club. |

'Ginger', along with many of the players, did very well last night (another booking!!!)....he may not have the armband but he is a captain like Cook is as well. |

I would suggest that the Club will be looking at the 'play-offs' next season and I am sure the players certainly will be as well. I do not think that we will be selling our better players unless the transfer fee is very good. Willock, I hope, will stay but that it out of the Clubs hands by all accounts. I expect MC to bring in a forward and probably replace the GK as a priority. I think he could well go overseas to get players as well. I would also expect a 'clear out' of 'dead wood'......it needs to be done. |

Played well again last night and how I would of expected. Well done to him. |

We will play as good as the same team that gave Leeds a beating.......MC is a winner, he will look at all these 'fringe' players in due course but not against Coventry. |

I do not like the man, bitter & twisted person, always looking at ways to 'slag' our club despite earning a few quid too, talks as though he is 'above it all', poor footballer but thinks he was better than he was. No time for him at all. |

Tough call Norf but I would like more goals - this could improve with a pre-season with MC. He now has a lot more major responsibilities since MC, he is expected to defend a lot more!!......It depends who we have lined up to replace him which I would hope the Club have already planned for him going. |

His general attitude & availability seems to have improved since MC arrived. If he continues with that approach then I would like him to stay. He does, however, need to fall in-line with the Clubs wage structures. He has had a fairish season. In saying that if his 'old man' continues the way that you say then let him go, its not the type we want here any longer and he is not much better than many of our players. |

This is an Anderson thhread but as posters are 'digging out' Paal, just to say he is a decent LB for us in the Championship and if we get more of the ball in the last 3rd he will be even better. Knows where the goal is too. We should keep him unless a bigger and better LB comes into play - no player at the club is better than him at LB atm. |

1 - We have pretty much been a selling club since the 1960's, maybe earlier. Back then we were a small club playing in the 3rd division. If the right price came in then we would sell. 2 - Nothing has changed although we are a bigger club than the 1960's but we would still sell for the right price. 3 - All this talk about we need to sell our better players for FFP reasons, etc is something that I leave to the Club Financial guys - I just do not know the finances of the club. But I would not sell our better players if we do not need to and some of the players being mentioned are our better and most important players. 4 - I do not believe that MC will agree with selling some of these players mentioned and I am not sure that we will need to if SKY give us 'bundles'. MC will want to improve us - 100%, he aint going to sit around & watch us perform poorly. 5 - What does need to happen is to get rid of many of these so called youngsters who do not play 1st team football and stop flaffing around with them. We need to sell or release some of our 1st team players as well who just are not good enough. 6 - We then need to sign some 'proper' players (GK & Forwards) to push us forward. Our aim next season should be, and it is asking a lot, is to push for the play-off next season. [Post edited 22 Apr 9:07]

Paal form has dipped for sure......was OKish yesterday. He could be better if we see more of the ball in the attacking 3rd......i would not sell him unless its for very good money. [Post edited 21 Apr 14:46]

Shocking comments about Paal......bit like the one about Dunne Experiment is over, drop him for Cannon!!!! |

I presume that he was Preston's No 23........he was a real handful. He is worth the club looking at him again. Showed a lot of natural talent. |

Its a real shame that posters cannot see how important 'ginger' is to this team, a real shame. Contrary to what gets written, he does not always pass back or sideways(he does if nothing forward is available). He positioning is very good, he supports play well both attacking wise and defensively, I do not go along with the statements to say that he is slow, he uses the ball intelligently and provides the experience that players need, even Field. He scores goals or he has this season, only one or so less than LD!!! MC picks him over most of the midfield players in his role.....posters should recognise that. Yes he has faults, bookings are not good but it is his way of playing and expressing himself, yes he gives the ball away occasionally, yes he does pick up injuries, etc, etc. I cannot be sure but I would expect he is very vocal on the training ground too for all of the players, especially the younger ones but also the more experienced, maybe the Manager as well. Posters need to get aware that he will be here next year and MC will be selecting him when he is fit and available.....not because he is a poor player but because he is very decent indeed. |
