Colchester find that it's Grim up north - again
at 22:11 22 Aug 2019

Don't think they came too close though Peter to avoid the comments they may have received!
I hope McGreal is ashamed not to come over but I suspect not...he appears to have little time for anyone's opinion.

A new signing....Yeah!

Calm down everyone. A new goalkeeping coach. What a waste of money. Do we really need one. Gerken is 36, been about for years and could easily pass on his experience to our younger keepers.
Use our newly acquired money wisely please.

Mariners all at sea against the mighty Super U's

I get where you are coming from Noah but cannot agree Grimsby actually deserved a point playing "Route 1" football. From our sitting position I cannot recall any serious activity in the Grimsby penalty box for the whole of the second half. To illustrate that, how many times was the Grimsby goalie able to escape up the field without any U's players near and to launch a long ball into our penalty area ? U's must escape this negativity before its too late!

Why did I have a bad feeling about McGreal's half time team talk? The second goal should have convinced him to go for further goals, NOT retreat all eleven players within thirty yards of our goal immediately at the restart. Durham suggested that we would bring on three defenders at half time, obviously in deference to our revered leader and maybe use two keepers!
It is so sad that we are unable to hang on to any lead with the philosophy of McGreal. He must GO NOW before we get into deeper troubles.
Saturday is now a pretty important game but with the same management in place I fear for the same dross.

I've heard that the Plymouth goal has been referred to VAR but we will have to wait until Thursday for a decision.

We might have under estimated!

Strange also with Norwich 4-0 down at half time the "Liverpool" keeper is injured and substituted. I'll bet the Norwich keeper wishes he could somehow injure himself during the break

You reckon he will play one up front Peter? Seems a bit too progressive for McGreal away from home!
Looking like another tough season for all of us all,the difference being last year we were reasonably good for the first few weeks.

Yep..we are up and running.
Question...why do we need a GK coach, surely not for Gerken?
We do a actually need a Goalscoring coach.

Using your philosophy of never predicting draws thought I would rebel. Only one that gave me problems was the U's fixture and as we don't have any strikers of note went scoreless instead.
Best of luck to everyone this season and a big welcome to our new members.
