I certainly didn't realise just how bad he was until he went but I guess two goals and two assists in three years from central midfield says it all. He never grabbed a game by the scruff of the neck. It didn't take Marti long to make a decision. |

Maybe we could find a way to extend the overhang from the upper to lower tier in the away end which would mean any objects coming down from above would not go into the crowd below and would also allow the lower tier to open the front rows of seats which would also be covered in bad weather and generate a good atmosphere by having a low roof over them. Surely it is not beyond the wit of man to do this? |

Okay thanks for that - Makes sense now it did have me scratching my head. |

Apologies if this has already been discussed but does anyone know why the top tier wasn’t full and Leeds had about a third of the bottom tier? Why didn’t we just them the full top teir and have our fans on the bottom as we have done several times this season. |

I know he gets some stick but I think he has been okay. All goalkeepers make mistakes I mean look at the Leeds keeper Friday. |

Could be anyone of them tonight but we gave it to Field on the way home - He absolutely bossed the midfield along with Colback. |

Geat preview Clive and some wonderful memories in there - I was fortunate (and old enough) to have been at them all. I remember the Stan Bowles goal as a young boy in SAR with my Dad and Uncle who are unfortunately not with us any more. The next generation will be there tonight though my kids and I will be screaming and shouting getting behind the boys. As you say it's all we can do - See you on the other side!! Come on you R'rrs |

Thanks Clive - A spot on report. You are so right with the intensity if we drop that we are so very easy to beat. It was there Saturday and our work without the ball was so much better even Willock tracked back a few times to make things difficult for the opposition. For the first time in ages I think we might get something on Friday night. Leeds may well be nervy and I think we have a better chance when teams come onto us. A massive 3 points and can you imagine what this week would of been like had we lost that one. Cook, JCS and Dunne were all excellent again - Paal much less so and continues to be our weak link especially when teams can get him in one on one situations. |

I have been pretty much everywhere in the ground except the school end lower - I have even sat in the school end upper for one game in 1982 v Middlesbrough in the FA cup. 1970's SAR season ticket with my Dad and uncle 1980's Mixture of Loft and West Paddock Terrace 1990's Upper Loft Season Ticket 2000's Ellerslie Road Season Ticket 2010 to present back to SAR season ticket |

Thanks Alex for the report. Always easy with hindsight perhaps having the 3 luxury players away from home was not the right set up. None of them are great without the ball and all are very poor at tracking back. It's gone now so it's all about Saturday - Biggest game of the season and if we play our A game hopefully we will have enough to get the 3 points. Handy that Preston have a long midweek trip and game Tuesday night. |

Thanks Clive - Another spot on report which was a very enjoyable read. All goalkeepers make mistakes and over the course of the season, I think Asmir has been okay and pretty steady overall. However he does scare the life out of me when we play our goal kicks out from the back and no doubting he will need replacing next season and certainly not with Archer. The jury is out with Walsh so it will be interesting if we go for experience or up and coming in the summer. Bloody frustrating but with last nights results we are still top in our nine team mini league with a chance to put it to bed Saturday. Hope I'm not tempting fate but I feel slightly more confident playing Hull away than I would if we were playing them at home. |

Totally agree - More often than not totally frustrating and disappointing but after 50 years I guess I am probably going to see it through. Every so often you get a Stan Bowles, Clive Allen, Michael Robinson, Dennis Bailey, Les Ferdinand, Paul Furlong, Jamie Mackie, Charlie Austin, Bobby Zamora, and now Jimmy Dunne moment that sort of makes it all worthwhile and fans of other (big 6) clubs will never understand. |

Bang on the money with that assessment Clive. A very lazy, complacent performance from everyone - Paal, Chair and Willock frustrated me the most - All 3 probably think they are better than they actually are. |

Chiltern line and GWR also on strike with no trains Saturday. A40 and A4 will be much busier so we are leaving much earlier. |

Thank you Clive - Another fantastic enjoyable report - Always look forward to reading these. Still walking on air with those two results but we mustn't think its job done in any shape or form. Yes right now the table looks bloody rosy but as we know only to well that can change very quickly. Get beat on Saturday and we face two tricky away games and it's back to nervous butterflies in the stomach. Saturday is now the key game of the season - Finish the job of boys - a win and I think we will be okay which is nothing short of a miracle as I was 100% convinced we were relegated only a few weeks ago. I would go with the same back four - Paal has been targeted a lot recently with lots of diagonals and it does seem like our achilles heel. Fox would be much better suited for nullifying that threat. Whatever it takes Saturday just get the bloody job done!!! Oh and yes the ref was very good Monday.... |

Another masterpiece Clive - Really enjoyed that apart from being reminded about the Eric Cantona goal scored at 5.03pm. Still gives me nightmares that one. I won’t lie I was one of those that could not stay in my seat when Birmingham were awarded that late free kick. I run down to the SAR concourse with a few other hardy souls and watched on the TV. God knows why maybe we all thought that would help and God would be kind to us as we were not in our seat to suffer the upcoming torment. Instead we all breathed a huge sigh of relief and I rushed back to my seat. I was walking down the G block stairs when Jimmy brought his left foot back and I think you have referred to these as stairs moments in the past and that is exactly what it was for me. Down the stairs I ran and for one moment I was up on the rail at the front about to jump on top of the roof of the executive boxes. Fortunately I managed to resist as the people in the box below nearly had a seventeen stone ball of blubbering flesh fall on top of them……… A wonderful moment in life……… |
