I'm nervous avout the lack of transfer activity but the flip side of that is I'd be disappointed if the club caved in by making rash signings and / or paying over their valuation (which seems like is happening with Lyons).

There've got to be a few outgoings soon.
Danny Cowley is keeping tight-lipped. But our understanding is Owen Dale could well be signed by #Pompey in time to face Lincoln on Saturday. https://t.co/ZdqWfbuMRv

We've already tested the water with Dele-Bashiru and so musr be confident of landing him in subsequent negotiations.
Still awaiting more outgoings.
Depends if anyone wants them, and if anyone has the money

- Ideally suited to playing Appleton's system where pace isn't an absolute priority and defenders should be decent on the ball (We're not playing a high line nor trying to defend deep, we're trying to condense play a bit by playing a sort of middle line).
- Personality and experience around the dressing room.
Negatives
- A gamble to give him a squad space as he's been picking up a lot of niggling injuries and may not be fit for many matches.
Others
- Is Appleton really going to go with Tharme as cover?
- Getting a fee for Keogh would be an unexpected bonus.
- Heart says keep him, head says sell.
Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.
I don't think he's a good enough player for the championship and he doesn't suit Appleton's system. Lavery'd be at his best playing as part of a twin strike force alongside a big guy.
Positives - Workrate and pressine ability. A general pest, getting in defenders' faces.
Negatives - Poor ball skills - Appleton doesn't play a pressing game therefore nullifying Lavery's main asset - Can't play lone striker role
Others - It'd be good business to sell someone we signed on a free. - Frees up a squad place and funds for a player more suited to Appleton's system

Michael Appleton confirms Richard Keogh is set to join Ipswich, as long as everything goes fine with his medical and scans.
Millwall's bid for Shayne Lavery was "killed in the water as quickly as it came about". Club in no position to sell strikers with Beesley and Madine out.

We've only just signed a different development squad left back from Portsmouth.

All avenues are being kept open in the transfer market, but Michael Appleton has dropped a major hint that the free agent market is one the Seasiders are keeping a close eye on.https://t.co/0w7bpuDkKC
