Well he is lready worth silly money so why not offer to play for oin money to help out a club that needs a player like him, why not become a player manager for a lower placed club? Why not coach or volunteer or do any number of generous things?

May I ask again, what level of income is acceptable to you ?
‘Reviled’ is such an extreme word. This man does a lot of good with his money, gives countless millions of pounds away every year to charity, the more money he makes, the more he gives away and the more people he helps. Is that a good thing or not ?
What has his playing ‘in the desert’ have to do with anything ?
You say ‘He deserves the most disrespect ,the most contempt possible’ for what ? For accepting a deal he has been offered ? He’s not hurt anyone, committed a criminal offence. People may be jealous but he’s entitled to earn money if folk are daft enough to pay it.

From my point of view how mcu is acceptable depends on the job being done, no professional sportsperson shoud get more than 25k per week. It's a lot of money and more than a lot of people get in a year. Anybofy who cannot survive and prosper on that is greedy and stupid.
The Saudi offer is as bad as the WC in Qatar, they are trying to buy acceptance through sport, taking Ronaldo there is as much about politics as sport. | |

Oh no, me neither. If some idiot offers me silly money to do a job I loved, I'd take it.
The caveat being that if I had serious misgivings about who I was working for I might well refuse. I wouldn't survive in Qatar or Saudi because I couldn't keep my mouth shut!
There again, if I had enough money that I never had to worry again, I doubt if I would do ANY job, I'd retire and travel as much as I possibly could but Ronald has already travelled the world a few times. | |
