I agree, I was very surprised when he said it was a new thing. I know it’s difficult without continuity with managers, but “The Swansea Way” init. He did also say that they have made that into a proper definition now, so everyone knows what they need to work towards. I’d like to hear more about that and see what they’ve come up with.
Definitely not. I have Muslim friends and family and not one of them dislikes Christians. They just believe a different thing mun. They are nice people.
Personally, continuity is more about steadiness of the ship and the length of time a manager is able to breed his philosophy through the club, rather than the practicality of bringing in players..
With the talked about “alignment procedure” now being installed at the club during this summer, continuity may not be as important as it is now, as the whole club will be aligned in what it’s trying to do, and everyone will know what is “The Swansea Way”, as it will be isolated and taught throughout.
So new managers coming to this club, who will have their own philosophy, but will also have to fit in the the philosophy which is already running through the club.
So continuity in keeping our manager, which we have constantly struggled with since our relegation, will become continuity in our philosophy.
Those 3 interview videos of Marge, Williams and Levy, have been one of the most promising and exciting things I’ve heard from the club in a long long time
I would like to attend this, so following for some more info.
Last time I went to something like this was Holland a good while ago. Absolutely loved it. Missed the Barca one, which was very disappointing, as my brother met Messi, who was watching the swans 🙂
If Rushworth doesn’t come back, Hennessey could fill a gap for a season or 2, until Broome has improved, or maybe one of the other youngsters, or even until another promising young talent like Rushworth is found elsewhere for Marge to get his fingers into (wrong choice of words there maybe).
Yeah you’re right. I would have been happy to see another ex Swans manager in the prem, but the £3m we could get from Piroe can basically finance the whole Langstaff deal 🙏🙏🙏
I agree. Priorities need to be retaining the back room staff, over players. Williams, Levy and Margetson are far more important to this club that any individual player.
IMO Kit Margetson should never ever EVER be released. We need to keep this coach as long as humanely possible.
I think Rushworth may come back next year, but after that Res is right. We need to be using Marge for doing this excellent coaching work on our own goalkeepers.
I think the pull of Margetson’s coaching ability is only, or mainly, going to work with English keepers. Less so for other British players, and even less so with foreigners. English keepers are going to be more expensive, but could be very lucrative for the club.
I like him too. Continuity huge. That Levy interview really did it for me. Talk of alignment all through the club. Players taught exactly what the Swansea way is immediately when joining the club, whether they are 9 or 49. All sounds amazing.
Sorry if this is a Ferdy. I haven’t noticed comments on it, I’m not sure why.
Such a good interview. So positive to hear all that. Makes me look forward to the future. “Alignment” throughout the club. Plan to commence this summer. He explains it pretty well.
This is why consistency and longevity in our manager is so important . Luke must be backed and only allowed to leave at top top price.
