De Zerbi....

That's my hope on reflection - just a tad too much of a leap this early, hopefully. But I don't think by much.

Yes, I know....apologies..this might be getting tiresome already.

But, by god, if I was on the Brighton board I know who I'd be thinking about. And I don't think Our Man could/would say No...

Watford and Norwich? Do you still get something in the third year? Not sure.

I'd say Burnley - becoming a real yo-yo club. Under Kompany (atm) they have the know-how and certainly the funds. Will surely be top two.

Luton - the rollercoaster adventure is surely over for now. Sheff Utd - too much in-house re-building to do.

Of the teams coming up, could Derby or Pompey do an Ipswich? Unlikely I'd say, but I could see both prospering. Bolton/Oxford - relegation fodder, I would hope.

Yes it was.3-0 down at half-time in the grey strip which they then changed at half-time and lost 3-1. The whole country laughed. I certainly didn't.

We had a watered-down version of this two seasons ago with the West Brom- Brentford scenario. We drew 2-2 at the Hawthorns (Eze's last game 😪) so it didn't matter. But there was discussion at the time. Then, as now, heart must always just about triumph over head. Rangers to win always.

What would you consider success to be this off-season?

This...along with Xavier Calm. All that matters. Thread closed IMHO.

Very sad news indeed.

My first QPR manager (1977-78).

RIP Frank Sibley.

20 years...wow....remember it so well. Was at the beamback. Joyous fans breaking out with champagne on the pitch in front of the screen just before the end. Great night in Shepherd's Bush afterwards.

Yep, no disrespect, but I think Marti/Zavi (if they were to be tempted), would be setting their sights a good deal higher than Hull City.

So not worried about Hull. Leeds/Southampton/Forest (if relegated) - worried.

More to the Point

The fact that Stoke scored 2 more goals than us over 46 games. Disgrace. No way to decide it. We should have a tug-of-war.

That is all.

Farewell and thanks to Captain Asmir (?) - it's been emotional.

LEEDS
at 07:50 30 Apr 2024

Thing to remember about Leeds - what were they before 1965, given that league football was established in the 1880s? Pretty much nothing before Revie. They had a rivalry with Brentford, I read somewhere.

The LFW Confession Box
at 14:13 29 Apr 2024

Full Confession: When we went 3-0 up on Friday night and not a second before.

Before that it was either a disastrous but 'resigned to it in the best Millers-style' relegation (Aug to early Jan) or a gut-wrenchingly unlucky 'what-might-have-been-for-20 years' type of relegation (Feb to Fri 26 Apr (9.20pm-ish)). But a relegation nonetheless. Could not see any happy way out of this traumatic season (despite Marti/Xavi) and Sheff Wed Home seemed to confirm it. Too much damage had been done, on any sober assessment. 20+ weeks in the bottom 3? Just Remarkable.
