Not sure if there's any connection (i.e. an agreement between QPR & Spurs) but IIRC (may have been from LFW) that I heard that Spurs don't want those pesky 40-year long season ticket holders. They get a discounted seat, they turn up and maybe buy a programme at most, might buy a drink but that's it. The same seat can be sold approx. 20-25 times over the season at a higher price to a different person (i.e. PL tourist) who will buy a programme, a hat, a scarf, a shirt, food & drink etc etc and that'll yield 3-4 times the income of said 40-year loyal ST holder. |

"Far too many Ipswich fans wearing colours though for my liking. Theatre attire is clearly a different dress code in Suffolk." Just got promoted to the PL so clearly peacocking. |

This thread isn't about how we can modify Loftus Road (there are plenty of other recents threads on that matter), this thread is about leaving Loftus Road altogether. |

Oh God please don't let this be a trigger for another spate of possible modifications to Loftus Road (of which most/none can be done)..... |

I got a freebie ticket for Harry Redkanpp (not long before he was our manager) at some sports bar in Marylebone and my god it was awful. The audience lapping up and fawning over his every word and bantz driven anecdotes. I left before the end. |

Maguire is injured so we'll never know if he would have been pro-actively left out or not. I'd have taken Grealish and left out Toney. Apart from a few goals when he came back from suspension his form has dried up. Grealish may not score goals but he's not a goal scorer (a few would be nice mind). He pulls players away, he gets fouled and gives us free-kicks in dangerous places, he frightens the life out of defenders. Attack is the best form of defence, and all that. Well done Eze though, well deserved and a real opportunity to hopefully do well if called upon. |

Does the CCTV show who left the fire escape open? As well as your bike being stolen it's also compromising the security of the building too. Maybe the company can contribute/compensate too? |

Football spending hasn't been fair for as long as I can remember, it's nothing new. What has happened is the self styled big clubs don't want pesky clubs like Wimbledon, QPR, Norwich etc being successful by virtue of a sugar daddy (or mummy) so FFP came in and blocked that. This whole notion that FFP is there to protect clubs is bollox. There are other ways this can be done. As said, have it that owners can't saddle debt onto the club. If they want to blow £500m of their own money then fine, but it must be their loss, not the clubs. Then let them spend what they like. The love-in for Man City will soon wane. THey'll end up becoming despised in the future just in the same way we currently despise Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool etc. |

For a long time it was MotoGP and Superbikes but not watched them in years. They move around often to subscription channels but mainly just don’t get the time to keep up with it regularly. [Post edited 4 Jun 7:31]

When I was early teens, sitting outside in the nice weather preparing for my exams I decided to go inside and get a drink. **crash!!** A lump of window shelf masonry had fallen onto the table where I was sitting and came from quite a few floors up so could have easily killed me. Thing is, at that age you don’t have the same sense of mortality so I just shrugged it off. Had it been now I’d probably be in therapy!! I guess having my two kids are my real life changing moments. It really does change everything. I have had people at work say they’re thinking of having kids but it won’t change them, they’ll still go down the pub, to restaurants etc and I just smile to myself knowing that ain’t gonna happen and I just say “if you still want to do all that, don’t have kids because you just won’t be able to!” |

Totally understand the whole speculation aspect but does every single lower level arrival and departure have to be ‘announced’? Modern times I guess. |

I must say that when I’ve ridden my motorbike in France or Germany the vehicle drivers are a lot more aware and courteous. You get used to this after a week then when disembarking at Dover and riding up the A20 it’s less than 10 minutes before a car driver (English plates usually) has tried to caress me into the verge. There are a million reasons why vehicle drivers in the UK are often not good which is another reason why it’s so important to look out for yourself (sorry to keep banging that drum!) |

How many of these youth signings the club keeps introducing on its website will then have the template leaving announcement in a few years? Just seems overkill to me. What next…..”we’re pleased to announce the signing of Mabel, our new tea lady”. |

Maybe my situation is different as I commute by motorbike rather than car but a part of the problem with public transport is that it’s overcrowded, expensive, unreliable etc. I worked out that over the course of a year, taking into account fuel, tax, insurance, maintenance/servicing etc, each return journey to work by motorbike is £5. By train & tube, each return journey is £15. That’s a big difference over the course of the year. |

Sadly the use of “a few giving everyone a bad name” does not apply to cyclists. Sorry. It really is a case of the majority are bad. Someone mentioned above about an extra light for cyclists at traffic lights…ive seen them already (chiswick, camden) where a green light in the shape of a bicycle lights up first about 5-10 seconds before the main traffic lights go green. Seems ok most of the time but you do get vehicles going first as they just subliminally see a green light. |

Ive been intrigued by a Hellfire or the Toyota Alphard. Petrol consumption isn’t a major problem as i tend to only do about 2-3k miles a year as its mainly used at the weekend to do the shopping, kids taxi etc. i may do a long journey a couple of times a year. Does being an import load extra price onto the insurance and are parts easily-ish available? |
