| Forum Thread | What do you all make of this Afroman? at 12:38 20 May 2015
Whilst looking at other forums, I often wonder who this bloke is! He seems to be a criminal lawyer one moment and the town jester the next. His current incumbency seems to be as the clubs resident anti-Dj judging by the comments below. Good luck if you're heading to watch Neil Diamond - glad I chose to go to his gig in Manchester! If any of you think I was refrained on the micro phone at previous Roadshows prepare for Afroman un leashed and un censored at the Niel Diamond concert. |
| Forum Thread | o/t Chosen charities at 14:18 15 May 2015
Other than obviously giving to the charity that never gives back, have decided with the small pay increase that I've got that I'd quite like to set up a DD to a charity. Any good ones from your experience? Don't want one which then sends endless e-mails and phone calls to ask for more (which has happened!). |

| Forum Thread | Luke Varney - just the type of player we need at 09:50 11 Apr 2015
Always liked Varney and was gutted when he left .. he just always had that ability to turn nothing in to something and we just haven't had that sort of player .. that said Bright Samuel with a good summer behind him could terrorise League One .. Luke Varney has described Blackpool’s relegation to League One as ‘horrific’ as he prepares to face his old side today. The now Ipswich loan man led the line during the Seasiders’ memorable year in the Premier League, scoring five goals. Ahead of today’s game against Ipswich, the 32-year-old spoke about his disappointment in seeing how the club has fallen. “When you look at Blackpool now, there is not one player or member of staff left from my time there — it’s changed so much in four years, it’s horrific,” he said. “I know the chairman is getting a lot of flak, but I don’t know the ins and outs as I was only a loan player at the time. But to see where they are is a travesty and hopefully, one day, they will get back to where they were because there was a fantastic buzz about the place, especially with it being a holiday resort, as you can imagine.” Varney played 30 times in the Premier League for the Seasiders after joining on a season-long loan from Derby County. The Premier League period which is constantly talked about by Blackpool supporters and one he isn’t likely to forget any time soon. He said: “It was one of the best years of my career, a bit of a whirlwind, it happened so fast. We were brilliant up until Christmas and then after that we were terrible. I got a few goals, a few shirts (Steven Gerrard, Cesc Fabregas, Yaya Toure) but unfortunately it ended in relegation, but I made some great friends.” [Post edited 11 Apr 2015 9:53]

| Forum Thread | Doesn't look like we'll be going down this weekend .... at 15:40 3 Apr 2015
Birmingham beating Rotherham 1-0 - so presumably beat Bolton if that results stays the same and we can't go down until next weekend?! Incidentally just looked at the table - which haven't done for weeks and didn't realise how far we'd fallen behind Wigan and Millwall - really has been a disgrace of a season! |
| Forum Thread | Who can we keep for next season? at 09:23 15 Feb 2015
For me, a strike partnership of Davies and Madine with Telford buzzing around, O'Hara in midfield with Orlandi wide and Aldred in defence and Lewis in goal would be an excellent start in League One - other than Aldred who is here anyway - anyone see us keeping any of the rest? |
| Forum Thread | Anyone playing Cash Out today with the bookies? at 15:11 7 Feb 2015
I have a tenner on Blackpool to beat Norwich at 12/1 with Bet 365 - watching cash out and 10 mins in we're still only £5.72? Presume that means that we're getting battered and they don't think they'll be paying out!! |
| Forum Thread | Can we read anything in to Sam going to Hillsborough? at 17:39 27 Dec 2014
Tweeted he was there yesterday - he has no interest in football (like his Dad), could the O's be about to make another Father to son hand down to avoid embarrassing repercussions of a conviction? |
| Forum Thread | Anyone now tempted by Leeds who wasn't? at 19:01 6 Nov 2014
Have to say a trip over the Pennines was the last thing on my mind but I'm quite fancying it now. Just think one win would really get us going and with Bolton in two weeks we could actually have a cracking Lancashire Derby on our hands. |
| Forum Thread | o/t How long before Man Utd are Champions again? at 21:47 2 Nov 2014
Seems to me that now the Fergie years are over it could be a barren time for United and how I'll enjoy that. Can anyone see them getting a top spot finish in the next decade? |
