Borrowdale was an odd one - he signed on loan from Coventry (i want to say during Sousa's reign?) but never played for us, and then clearly there was an obligation / option out of our hands to make the deal permanent as he then signed a long term contract in the January? and we then loaned him out all over the shop. I remember the club putting out a fairly terse one line statement at the time to the effect of 'Borrowdale has signed a 4 year contact' and that was it |

As the guy that runs the Patreon on behalf of Clive, I’d like to thank jeffranger (no relation) for the extra traffic and revenue you’ve sent our way. If I slip you a tenner can you do the same next month? |

Syposium and Hell is for Heroes genuinely two of my favourite bands of the 90's still listen to 'Farewell to Twilight, 'You Drove me to it' and 'I can climb mountains' at least once a week on my various spotify playlists. didn't know they were R's... |

shame we couldn't put a clause in the contract that Dozzell had to play against us... |

which begs the question, why don't we sell Taylor Richards to LAFC for £15million and sort ourselves out, and Taylor gets to play out the rest of his days in LA... |

Yeah, i've got quite a bit of money tied up in the QPR Bond, so i'm keeping a fairly keen eye on the financial wellbeing of the club! the promotion clause is specific to the premier league unfortunately |

did mine a year ago and the instructor gave us a top tip to keep your car in sports mode if you have it as the higher revs alert you to your speed and you're less likely to creep over the limit apparently. haven't been out of sport mode since |

Just for some sort of balance though, there's no point in quick distribution if the person you're distributing it to isn't looking to receive it, otherwise it's just giving the ball back to the opposition needlessly (and we don't need any more help in doing that) The Cardiff game for example - you gave Begovic some verbals for not releasing the ball early to Kolli, but Kolli had his back to the game and was not looking at the play at all - If the instruction is to release early, the players up field need to be alert to this... |

Hi guys, Andy here - I run the Patreon for Clive, and i'm additionally the voice in his ear when he's about to say/do/embark on something stupid (neither salaried positions). Clive is under strict, pain of death instructions to do this sort of round table podcast a couple of times a year maximum - Pre Season / Halfway Point / Post Season / When we sack the manager... This type of discussion / podcast isn't meant to rival Finney's podcast, which occupies it's own space and own niche with it's own target audience, it stands alone as a complement to Clive's output. What i like in particular about this discussion is that all the guests clearly know their stuff and are able to back up a high(ish) level discussion with keenly observed points and counter points. I've pushed back numerous times Clive's suggestions about weekly post match in the pub 'vox pops', as I don't think this is what Clive's selling point or place in the QPR Community is, nor why people are so keen to listen to and read Clive's work - it's high level, deep dive stuff (with Moneyball references and nob jokes...) Basically, infrequent round tables with high calibre guests > weekly chats with Jeff from F Block. |

hopefully RBlock will be along shortly to clear up the nuances of manslaughter, accidental or otherwise, but it's an arrest that had to happen, even if nothing comes of it. Ice Hockey is an inherently dangerous sport, the incident happened as a result of a body check so there is at least intent to cause harm (even within the acceptable parameters of ice hockey) and the guy's skates were at an unusual / unnatural position, so there are enquiries and conversations to at least be had. i'm sure this is a tragic and freak accident, but an investigation needs to happen and the arrest is the first part of it... |

Nick is on this site as OzRanger i believe... Had the privilege of looking at some of the programs from the turn of the 20th century with Nick a couple of months ago and let me tell you, the fear that i somehow tripped, fell and ripped them in half was real! it's an incredible collection he's got. |

I believe that this was a message board / the twitter rumour, and not actually true. I think he was one of those people who we kept stringing along about offering a contract at the end of the season, so he had no idea what was happening, and he wanted to stay, but we then offered some soft of derisory insulting offer that he naturally rejected, but we could then say 'we offering Barbet a deal but he turned it down...' |

Spurs have got a beavertown brewery on site, so it's Neck Oil etc. Wembley is already showing its age horrifically in terms of customer service on the concourse - was with Clive for the NFL game, and as he mentioned, it was canned budweiser. but worse than that, they had no setup for delivery at all, so you you ask at the counter for 4 budweisers, and the minimum wage guy trudges over to the table at the back, opens four cans from a blister pack, pours them and then hands them over. there's no-one doing the pre-pouring or having 50 pints ready to go, it's so inefficient. in comparison, was at the Spurs stadium for the NFL games and they're like lightning - proper selection of beers, got the fill from the bottom widget so it's super fast and comes out like a pint, and they had plenty of staff doing the filling up at the back so delivery was instant. I know that spurs is the first 'American style' full service stadium in the UK, but the difference in experience between that and Wembley was night and day. |
