Transfer rumours 2024
at 16:07 15 Jun 2024

Asmir could go there as a 3rd choice Keeper and coach.

I would be surprised if we get Travers. He must be on Premium wages and managed to get some starts in the Premier League last season.

Travers can probably do better than QPR.

After Football it would be ...

6-a-side Football
5-a-side Football
7-a-side Football
Cage Football
Kick About Football
Three-sided Football
Football Manager Moblie
Shrovetide Football
eSports Football

So, including Football, that's 10 sports I follow.

An L1 cub will take him on a 1-year contract at massively reduced wages, at which point he will play a full season like he did at Doncaster.

And so the cycle begins again.

It looks quality to me; he should have scored at Southhampton. He will learn from that, and next time, he will score from a similar chance.

I say loan him out to an L1 club at the bottom end and see if he can do an Eze/Chair down there. Forwards to lower league clubs tend to come and get some minutes, at least with struggling teams. We can see if his body can take it, as I think he has a suspect injury record as well.

QPR should only loan him until January, as I feel this kid could be a real talent. If he does well, we want him back by January. If not, renew the loan and see how he goes.

Morgan Fox is a bit better than functional.

I watched him a little when he came back into the team at LB, and he can actually cross the ball very well, indeed, from the left-back position without beating the defender. Something Paal does not have.

I suspect that he has a very good left foot, and this is known in the industry, hence his recall to the Wales squad when he hadn't played much; those in the know were in the know. Marti obviously saw it in training and brought him in ahead of Larkeche for that reason and, of course, his height.

Morgan is above average in the Champ skills, however, due to his age and lack of pace, he should be a sub and not a starter. Useful backup and we need those as Cook and JCS can get injured. If they go at the same time we can struggle by with Fox and Dunne, with Cannon at RB.

I remember when we had no CD reserves of note and struggled for LB let along backups. QPR have done a decent job in building a cheap squad that has backups now in defence for the long campaign that the Champ is.

I hope this is and stays just a rumour.

If JCS did not have a really bad injury record, I would say to keep him. But he does, and that's the data, so we can only go on for now.

I think Marti would be okay if we sold him as long as he gets the funds to replace him. Managers tend to like to have a nice transfer kitty if players are sold, as then they can bring in players they fancy, like Andersen, for example.

We need to sell JCS as his history is too injury-prone. We should sell Chair, but with this court case unlikely, Marti will be happy when we keep him. If Armstrong doesn't sign a new contract, we need to sell him now as well for whatever we can get.

I think if Burnley doesn't come in for Marti, we should be okay, and he will stay as we have some monies this season to spend. And if we get it right, then this could put us in the top half, which makes it look good on his CV. Rather than ending up like Beale and having to coach in war-torn countries where no players want to sign.

If he's not signing a new deal, then sell him for whatever you can get.

Jan is too late, as they were promised signing-on fees to wait until the contract expired, so that's what they did.

He has potential, but so did many players, and we have seen from the revamp of the Dev Squad and the many players over the last two seasons who have faded fast ... Amos, anyone? That some of these players were never good enough.

It can be done; Smyth proved it, but even then, Smyth is only just good enough at this level and not a game changer, game after game like Chair or Andersen or Willock.

Sell him quick!

There is no way Richards will walk away even if we pay him off in instalments to avoid FFP.

He wants 4 years at QPR on his CV, and you can bet that in his last 6-months, he will be available, ready to play, and trying really hard.

I would pay Elgin City a small fee to take him on loan. A good loan up in the middle of nowhere (sold to him as a quiet Retreat to balance his fragile mind) might make him realise the value of being a pro footballer for a London club. It may also keep him out of London for a while.

EDB Signs new contract
at 19:35 11 Jun 2024

Colbacks issue )apart from silly yellows) is that hes too high up the pitch. Marti beat it out of him in the Millwall game when he saw enough after 20 mins and it worked. When he plays too high as a presser there are gaps left in behind him which teams can exploit.

Rotherham, stayed back (yeah, I know it was a poor Rotherham) and controlled the entire game Pirlo styl;e. He should be receiving the ball from Cook and playing it up field. Leave the pressing to EBD and Field for the trap, and then on breakaways, he can come in from the rear for those cut-back goals he was doing earlier in the season.

If they play that way, I think those three can work well together. Then we need one more AMC as a backup or to be better than EDB to improve the squad. With Aoraha and a possible option in Cannon DMC is covered.

This summer we need:
GK
AMC
High assist, super fast RW
and, of course, the mythical Goal Scorer.

That's only 4 players; in the past, I have advocated for 6 players.

This reduced squad is the progress going back to Sir Less and Hoos. Who made many mistakes but set us on this path and we took years to get here but we have. Now we have FFP headroom, possibly Eze monies coming in, we need to get those 4 in and some nice young talent which will be very expensive but worth it.

People like Jay Stansfield or Tom Cannon, which neither Prem club will play in the prem, and so on.

No, every party did not do this. But they may do now.

The old REAL Labour was funded by the Unions. You knew where the money came from the reason it was given.
Unions gave money to Labour so, if they got in power Workers rights would be protected and improved. You know people who WORK being looked after by the country they work in!

Also, creating and improving the NHS, free Denstiry, free Opticians (both now gone) and so on. Thus creating an infrastructure for the great people of this country, no matter their heritage. Long before the Scandi's ever had a wet dream about such things, many of them now have been taken away from us.

But this was always attacked as evil Unions messing up the country. Well, the Unions have had almost zero powers for decades now, and the country is the worst it's ever been—and not getting any better. You cannot blame the Unions now. They even have zero power in selecting the Leader or any of Labour's policies. Some Unions like Unite are asking what they get for their money?

And rightly so, as they have to represent their members (who pay in). Members are angry customers (I like that word for right-whingers who don't seem to get it). The Union customers demand results so, Union leaders must serve their customers charter (good John Major word that) or they will be replaced with a leader who will (not quickly but for sure it will happen).

Now, some on the right seem to think, well, they can feck off and hahaha. But what they don't realise is eventually, either the Labour Party splits, and the right becomes like the LibDem party, with fading funding over the long term, no doubt, lost to whatever the Tories become (Reform 2), and the left, with the Unions, form a new party. This new party would instantly gain 300K members (we know this as that's what Corbyn pulled in alone and he's a muppet). So, the right would now have to face a REAL left-wing party, and with the screw-ups on the right, eventually, this party would gain power, and it would be harder for the Blairites to infiltrate this party (although the careerists would try again).

So, while it may seem all parties are on the teet of Big Business, you are forgetting the Unions have some dosh as well. And they must spend it on Workers' rights, which means against the Capitalists. At the moment most Union leaders are Blairities who think they can work with TFS (Two-Faced Starmer) and get some meek improvements that they can fob the members off with. Big Business (often referred to as Capital) won't allow that to happen. They expect TFS to double down and be their boy. So, TFS will come under reoccurring pressure to either cow-tow to Capital or give in to even the right-wing Unions.

What do you think TFS will do?
We all know he will do as he's told by Capital (Big Business), and while most in the Party and Unions will wrestle with this for around 2-years, unable to accept that TFS is TFS, eventually, the mood will change, and the pressure will come. Before Blair got away with it (Brown swap like Major swap did not), but now Unions like Unite are onto this nonsense and that's one of the 3 major Unions already against New Labour.

Not to mention TFS is not liked by anyone really, whereas this charisma Blair had was based upon him smiling a lot and pretending he wasn't nasty like Thatcher. Remember Blair's approach of being "politically correct" and those phrases to keep people happy with no nasty words, which we now know was just a fob off to not really do any real change and keep Capital in power over the Workers.

Unite's leaders know this and are ready for the fight. How long before they and others take the Union money elsewhere because at that point, TFS is in trouble as Capital will move on and not bail him out. TFS is being funded to control the workers rights down, not enable them and the Unions the other way. Something will have to give.

He got an assist last season.

True Chair did all the work to score, but EDBwas in trouble with two players on him, span away and found Chair with the ball, under pressure.

If a player keeps doing that then they will get assists even if the scorer does all the work. Got to be in the game making a difference to err ... make a difference .. who knew?
Not Dozzell anyway.

Decent player who not only shows for the ball, but demands it.
He has excellent positional sense, can get out of trouble, and can pass the ball simply and effectively.

We will have a great player here if he can improve his tackling and shooting. His shooting is not that bad; he's just been a little unlucky. He needs to try a little better, and I think the goals will come.

Good signing this.

So, true.

Didn't we start a false rumour once on this site that this bait site picked up, and we got to expose and make fun of them?

How about Ronaldo buying QPR and playing his last season before retirement to get them in the Prem?
Something idiotic like that.

Proper funny that would be.

As someone on the left, I agree it is a political hit piece, no doubt.
They did one on Rishi but forgot to mention the D-Day lameness.

Part of being in a democracy means that Reform should be allowed to stand and air their views even if people find them abhorrent.

I noticed this piece said nothing about Farage on PFI, as that would have exposed the Blariites who brought it in from a Tory invention. He advocates direct Government borrowing to replace PFI as it's cheaper.

We on the left have been saying this forever. To be clear, I do not agree with Farage. It is he who agrees with us lefties on a leftie policy. We were always aginst PFI, always!

But understand, what he's saying here is that the markets have failed on big infrastructure and the govt is better. That's a clear socialist line, something no one pulls him up on, especially as he always says the Leftie ideas are bad, yet he's advocating one of them.

Note:
We all understand that Blairites are global capitalists (like Cameron), so please don't say Loony Leftie Labour brought in PFI on mass; for us on the left, they are known as New Labour, not Real Labour. We see zero difference between Blair and Cameron. They are both Tories to us.

Also, Stamer is not a socialist despite his statement. I have a new phrase for you that will stick as Starmer will make it stick.

TFS = Two-Faced Starmer.
You read it here first!

We came 2nd with Gerry as Captain in 76, and did we not make 5th and top London club (Arsenal came 6th) in the '80s?

We should have kept Andy Gray on the wing; he was devastating. Going to Parlarse and playing Mid where he wanted to was no good for us.

England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 v Iceland 🇮🇸 Match Thread

Gordon is not ready and should have been out of the squad, and Grealish should have been retained in the squad as he would have broken down Iceland, the same as Eze started to do when he came on, showing how Gordon is not ready. I suspect even Southgash won't play him again now.

Trippier looks past it; Tyrick Mitchell or Rico Hency should have been taken instead. Having only one known LB in the squad who is injured is abysmal management and fantasy thinking by Southgash.

Mainoo was okay, but he's not the answer against these teams. He got caught out for their Goal, should have been back when Rice went forward and Mainoo did not see the danger until it was too late. TTA should be the one to start against these types of defensive teams as then Rice knows he has to be back all the time as TTA will go forward. Palmer was okay and probably could play better than Foden in the middle. Foden was swamped and that was interesting as now we know how he can be stopped, but it frees up space which Gordon had a lot of but did little with.

In the first half, Southgash tried to lure Iceland into following Kane into the middle (hence his dropping deep) for Foden to push up and get the threw balls. It didn't work, as there was no one to thread those balls, Palmer was on the wing and Foden who could do it was expecting to receive it, and Iceland didn't fall for it. Hence, 45 minutes were wasted on this one pitiful tactic, which was obviously not working after 15 minutes when Iceland did not follow Kane all the way into the middle.

What we learned is that Gordon should not be there and Mainoo should only be used against attacking teams and maybe even not then as he's still not there yet. TTA is up for it, but really needs to be higher up the field in middle to make an impact. Tripper is past it, maybe Gomez is better? Konsa looked decent and possibly better than Guéhi, who is okay but has zero idea going forward and won't score from corners like Konsa can. Stones had his usual one terrible game out of five. Lets hope he goes back to his world class levels, he often does that. One game in five Stones will be gash for whatever reason and then he goes back to being amazing again. I suspect its a concentration thing, but how knows, Pep doesn't.

Gordon, Palmer won't start and possibly Mainoo will be sub as well.
Saka, Bellingham to come in, with Foden moved to the left and I suspect he will put TTA in the middle with Rice told to stay back all the time.

In Southgash we trust.
