I found this little clip which popped up on my algo today quite interesting.
Was an avid attendee of the Raindances at Jenkins Lane. Little did I think that some 24 years later I'd be standing on the roof of one of the treatment plants in Longcross STW when working for Thames Water and looking back over that field where so much fun was had a quarter of a century before..... it was actually a moment and I had to tell the lads I was with it was the fumes that were doing me.
Looks a proper ropey squad at the back to me but always would've been.
That choice of midfielders also pretty shite. Rice is stand out and Kobe I rate however lacks stamina at the moment. Wharton is mental -- I never rated him in the Championship but he looks really good at a higher level.
Good luck Ingerlund but i think we'll be home early. Main thing for me is Eze gets minutes, scores and becomes a player in the £80mill bracket
Flabio & the Dwarf gambled and won but only by changing their tact.
Bungle gambled the clubs future to stay there. Failed. Bungle gambled the clubs future to get back there. Won. Bungle gambled the clubs future to stay there. Failed.
We'll never recover from that period of wanton spending with zero sustainable plan and minimal investment in infrastructure.
Bungle had the opportunity of a generation not once but twice and blew it by thinking money/spending equals success.
The Five Year Plan is a great starting point. An example of egotistical owners failing and only eventually succeeding when they stepped back and put their faith in proper football people running the football side whilst they perused the bank sheet closely.
If you don't rate Begobitch as a number one why would you accept him as back up?
It would be peak QPR for whoever is first choice to get injured 1st game and then a man the majority think is ropey have to play the next dozen where all his short comings are exposed.
I'll stick by whatever Marti decides but my personal choice is it's a fanks verry much gudbaye He had a few decent games last season but when he ran out of WD40 by Christ he was poor
Jesus H Christ.... "previously it was (the) unemployed for the most part thugs s**t faced on cheap kestrel doing this crap"
I assume that's badly typed or I'm reading it wrong.
Being unemployed did / does not equal you being a thug and football hooligans were not gangs of marauding unemployed wasters either.
I'm not going to read this thread anymore but just to say if you try to physco analyse football violence you'll fail. It's too vast must like society - yep there's Charlie, booze, nutters etc but add in the herd mentality, supressed maledom these days, aggressive attitudes in the young and so on and on and on. Go all the way back to mods and rockers and before maybe.
The rise of our aggressive society now boils down to discipline being lost and accountability / self awareness being lost during the Blair years and the rise of the do gooders. We're disbanding the police. We're handing out more lenient sentances if anyone is actually charged Messages been given to generations now that they will be given stuff, they don't have to work for it. We've had it and it's very depressing.
There was, shall we say, a busy day in London on Saturday.
The thin blue line is now microscopic Clearly their time is well spent policing Tommy Bloody Robinson and his henches, the latest Palestine love in, another mob calling for defence of Israel and various other goings on around the Champions League up central London.
I was out locally Saturday and witnessed some fairly anti-social behavoir. Was told by the owner of the place we were in that he did not expect to see anyone in a uniform as the OB were streteched beyond breaking point and zero local units to us. He was praying nothing escalated as his son (a local copper) had said don't expect any response at all due to the above drains on the availability.
