It is the same thing in football. When fans want the board to "show ambition" it means spending money.
Peter Risdale advocated that where you finish in the Championship is directly related to how much money you spend on wages and transfer fees.
Huw Jenkins and Brendan were able to prove that was wrong and went up with honest battlers, Gower, Monk, Taylor, Tate, DeVries Rangel Pratley and a teenage Joey Allen. Swansea had lost a lost of class in Scotland Bodde and Gomez the season before. Sinclair was a revelation and Borini added impetus in January.
The young left back had a bad night with three of his mistakes costing goals. Sheff utd had ruthless forwards.
Swansea was hamstrung by not having proper central striker. Cadogan and Wilson out. Ngingo and Govea were out wide with Congreve a midfield pushed up top. He did not look convincing there.
They were people who I see as the 'silent majority'. It is clear to me the narrative of forums does not represent average fan views.
If you object to certain forum narratives (not this one) you get called things by people like Chippy and the long lost Chief or even get banned. Some find that unpleasant.
I humbly accepted the result with some surprise actually. All that matters is who had the biggest slice of the cake and it was the man from the hut on the hills overlooking Resolven. There was no malpractice on my part.
In my opinion Swansea fans need to stop turning on their own. It is a trait of stone cold losers. This was my manifesto and still is. Back the team top to bottom and stop whinging. Back Coleman and co. There is no Arab fairy godmother.
POTY 2023 actually. The thing about a silent majority is that most of them stay silent. That is why £400,000 of the fans money (80,000 annual subscriptions), was directed from Swansea to places like Kent actually in legal and insurance fees . No one said a dickie bird.
It needed someone with 'kentish' mentality to cut through the toxic narrative of nonsense.
2-0 down and more to come. 24 % possession 0 shots at all. Danes 11 shots 2 on target both goals.
Danes pass accuracy 88% Wales 56% pass accuracy. Low block and hanging on. Both Swans on the bench. Almost half of Welsh passes go astray. I saw this beat Belgium 1-0 but there was not a lot of football. More a force of will.
Craig Knight tried a high press but got walloped by Poland 7-2 last year.
FAW Welsh way? Like I said it is not easy with a small pool. Denmark have a real strong system and only 5 million population. They alway pass well. Thomas Frank came from this system.
Iestyn Jones a squared jawed centre back who has features with the u 21 and Harlan Perry who is a forward.
U16 lost 3-0 to Poland if the game is over. Milo Robinson and Carter Heywood.
Wales fans should demand the best of course but it is real hard to find a squad of quality over one age group for small nations. The senior teams can pool the whole age.
The u16 has some quality players but the Poles are a big nation.60 m or so.Jadon Leinou is one to keep an eye out for. Just joined Man city from Everton
It was very sad because the toxic narrative created by nobodies.Selling shares is not a crime. A " sellout" sponsors the stadium. The fans ownership group have not invested a bean in 20 years sponsor nothing much. That is sad.
Perhaps this guy is an influencer. He did nothing but good for Swansea city but other social influencers created a fake narrative over the other owners quite reasonably wanting to move on.
It does not matter about the past. Usyk is clearly the best and Fury second best.
i still think Hrigovic is the next in line. Unbeaten very big and a good boxer. There was another big Ukrainian on the undercard. A 6 ft 6 in cruiserweight called Lappin. Still young.
Usyk was the same size and George Foreman for the bust up on the River Congo.
Last week UK was represented by a bloke with four topless blokes in red leathers short gyrating behind him. This week has to be better.
Fury has to be respected. He had his nose bust in round 9 or 10. He is boorish of course but it is boxing not badmington. Both should retire after the rematch.
Boxing is better when is is full of uncertainty.Promoters make it repetitive by too many rematches when there are plenty of other fights available. I think Usyk wins on points Joshua could not cause him trouble and punches real hard. Fury could work on his body though like Dubious did.
There are 46 games in a season. Joey based on precedent will play probably 15 at best 20.
There are no obstacle in a deal. A fully fit Joey at 35 gets £10k a week. However he is not fully fit so he get 30% of that £3k a week and a bonus after he plays over 20 games for 55 mins or over.
Could Ben Woodburn operate in the Walsh role be worth a 6 month deal. He is talented but perhaps a little lost. Wayne Routledge was lost hopping from team to team before Brendan got the best out of him. Woodburn has the close skills fitting the Swansea way. A fit version of Walsh.
I have seen Lewis Webbe play excellently a few times but he is quite small. I hope he gets a place. I have a feeling Evan Watts might put pressure on Fisher. He is very good at distribution long throws kicks etc..He had a hiccup for Wales u21 but Colwill and Low baled him out. He got the place ahead of Chelsea s Beech so must be rated.
Kai Ludvigsen always impressed me . Ruben Davies is another Centre forward hope who is moving on who was never fit. Joe Thomas has done well but needs to bulk up.
