Briatore and Ecclestone bite back — Taarabt stays, Warnock rebuked
at 15:31:08

QPR fans i'm sure don't care how rich the board members are but expect them to have a go and spend say £15 million out of the £40 million TV money on players. We just don't have players who are quick enough, not only in defence but midfield and out wide or people who can open up other sides. Our defence will be like Blackpools last season, whilst the attack is worse. We don't want people like the overated Carlton Cole, Crouch would be great-but no chance on his wages or the fee. The likes of DJ Campbell, Routledge would give alternatives and are in the price range. All the players so far signed or on trial are injury prone. Mostly they are the type of players you have as back up in the championship. QPR need first choice players better than what they have, apart from Bothroyd thats not happened. It appears to me Briatori again wants to pick the team and sign Italian free transfers he's heard of, whilst Warnock (the coach!) is giving trials to frees Briatori has never heard of and frankly if thats the best we can get we are in bigger trouble than i first thought.

Saturday Diary — Taarabt stays
at 11:12:53

Bernie & Flavio have clearly been hurt by the deserved criticism in the national press and from the comments made by Neil Warnock (the coach), thats clearly what he intended to do. But has it worked? QPR have no kit and no sponsor the main reason is because they thought they would sell the club by now, but no one is stupid enough to pay £100 million. They claim to be building for the future, though the clubs still up for sale.Adel is still there because they did not get a big enough offer. What did change is that they have promised if he is sold there would be that money to spend. They have 3 weeks to the kick off and 6 to the end of the transfer window, long enough to loan a couple of players and actually buy a few better than we have. At the moment Flavio's Boutique is more like Poundland (with the team wearing a kit covered with gaffer tape and all the frees injury prone).

Summer on the signings carousel — guest column
at 10:21:30

I even think Neil Warnock feels we will get relegated now. The words he used, "try to survive", "lowest budget ever" and we will have to do it on Bosmans and a couple of loans, are honest but grim. To be in the premier with a small club is a tremendous achievement. Even if owened by Mittals, we could not compete with he top teams who throw money at players. But if your going to take part you have to bring in better than you already have but players like Gabbidon, Webber and Puncheon who can't get in lower teams are not. Players like AJ, DJ, Malbranque,Routledge,Hitzleberger, Upson and Naughton would be. What is certain wih all the bad press coming out he club the £100 million asking price, will continue to look more stupid.

QPR and Plymouth, two clubs left lamenting their owners — full tour preview
at 09:51:04

QPR, Swansea and Norwich are the weakest promoted teams i have seen. Their chances of saying in the league depend on Wigan and Blackburn, who are also poor. The 3 promoted yeams are relying on unproven lower league players and free transfers. I would not have signed Mackail-Smith, Morison or Graham i don't think they are good enough for the premier, Maynard may be different. I would not sign Carlton Cole either. Les be honest, QPR wihout Taraabt, Routledge and Kenny would not get out of the Championship. In the premier the team lacks, pace and width and players who can create. The defence too slow. Bohroyd on a free transfer is a good signing but will he get 15 goals, i doubt it.Newcastle and West Brom stayed up because they went down and came back with a lot of proven premier players and have added some classy foreign players. For business men they have made some right balls up in signing managers then sacking them and paying millions in compensation, then he FA enquiry showed them to be liars if not cheats,Were are the big sponsors, why are they not already selling replica kits? The bad publicity they are now getting nationly is fully deserved but i has made QPR a laughing stock.

Weekend Diary — Warnock upbeat but disappointed by transfer fund
at 00:20:57

I think Warnock has done well to make it clear he has only £1.25 million to spendand are not good enough to stay up. 1. It forces the owners to answer questions why? Or it forces them now to hopfully offer more. 2, If QPR do badly and get relegated he can lay he blame at the board. Warnock will go into the season with players he did not want or think good enough, has he said to them i did not think half of you would be here now. I can understand people saying Briatori and Ecclestone are business people who make and don't want to spend money. The same people who have hired 9 managers in 3 years fired them and had to pay them millions in compensation and still tried to sign players and pick the team themselves, when they have no idea. Sure if QPR go down they get parachute payments but if they stay up they get 3 times more! For business people with all the rich formula 1 friends, whats happened to massive sponsorship deals and the terrible publicity they are getting. Having said that the Mittals are also board members and are associated as a result, how much have they put into or raised for the club? If the board don't want to stay in the premier then whats the point?
