I think transferring from renting to buying is the main problem .
Many renters pay more than a mortgage in rent and havnt got the headroom to save for a deposit .
By loaning a deposit and taking a rent record as ability to pay young people might make the jump easier.
We are not wealthy but have helped our boys by letting them come back and live almost rent free with us for a year or so to really hammer the deposit savings .

I doesnt seem right I agree .

What I think I mean is that if damage has been done it is not reversible or able to be meaningfully corrected and Nature will protect itself in the end

Actually I had a few days in Norfolk last week and some of their coastal resorts have in fact fallen in to the sea .

"I’m not denying climate change but I just have to laugh at people who think we can change what good old Mother Nature wishes to do with it."

I agree with this , Nature is far more powerful than mankind . It will either adapt as it has always done or it will protect itself by wiping us out . I dont really think we can change its course .

I may have mis heard but I thought he said the maximum levy would apply over 10 flight per year .
I am not wealthy but I have a son living and working in Zurich who still holds his ST and flies back for a few games a year and we go out for the Christmas markets . I have a seriously ill relative in Madrid who we visit every 2 or 3 months .One sunshine holiday in September .
That s few quid for just an ordinary family

Under PR UKIP would have got around 60 seats in 2015 . Their vote share was bigger than the SNP and Lib Dems combined who ended up with 64 combined seats .

Its not only smaller left wing parties that would benefit from a change . I dont want Farage anywhere near Parliament.

It was on LBC
Ferrari asked him if it was a return and he said no , so 100 quid on a four person holiday .

I heard on the radio yesterday that the Greens would introduce a frequent flyer levy allowing you one levy free flight a year . The next one would would carry a levy of 25 quid and go up from there up to a maximum of a £585 levy on each flight .

1/ I have learnt that the members of this board are able to respectfully disagree without abuse or p£sing off Clive .
2/ That the consensus seems to be getting the Tory’s out rather than voting Labour in.

3/ There is a lot of knowledge amongst us .

I haven’t voted Labour since Blair , but they have moved back towards me and I will vote for them this time .

Is it the idea of processing claimants in a different country unacceptable or is it that it is Rwanda ?

On the question of family members seeking to come here , firstly if they have a genuine claim have some evidence to prove it They should be claimed by a family member already legally resident here with a record of legal settlement or birthright , contribution and without a criminal record . That person would act as an accountable sponsor and guarantor . For those without skills , free training should be in place after a very short settling in period ..IMO

Link working visas issued with career training , subsidise uni and apprenticeships for the skills we are taking from elsewhere . Openly publish the skill we are issuing visas for . It might encourage skilled people to return to that trade .
The Rwanda policy would be ok if the people were quickly processed and flown back here if they can prove who they are and have a valid claim .
Quite happy for the numbers to increase if we need the skills although the double edge is that we deprive another country of those skills .

No more on Brexit from me ..

You miss the point on immigration , complete freedom of movement means that you cant plan health education or housing requirements . Its impossible because you just dont know the numbers.
You also cannot control the skills levels , you might get baristas when you need midwives , or bricklayers when you are crying out for electricians , its pot luck . Its really not about the numbers IMO .
As for border control , I have a seriously unwell relation in Spain , I visit Madrid regularly . I honestly have seen no difference at the border . I have a son living and working in Zurich .
Would you really want to live in a country where the Government give you a vote on something then ignores it because "they know better "? What if next time your vote is on the winning side ?

Even if it is crap or turns out to be so it had to be done .

We were told by the freely elected government of the day that whatever the result was it would be enacted .
There were no caveats about the margin of the result , there were no iillegalities that made the vote null and void . Apart from lies on both sides (unavailability of Cancer drugs was a particular low) it was a free and fair vote . If the young people who’s “ future was stolen “ had voted instead of watching Tipping Point itmay have been different . A life lesson learnt .
The time a democratic vote is just ignored or reversed our democracy is compromised.. IMO

Not wanting to re open old differences , but it’s far too early to call it a failure . it could have been so much better if the result had been accepted . Covid has muddied the waters further , 2030 is the earliest it could be assessed. iMO of course

Labour are not talking about it because their lead would disappear within days .

If they thought it would get support why not shout it from the rooftops?

I would listen to offers for Armstrong and Dykes (fitness issues aside) . Both under contract .

A new striker is a must IMO , we cant go through a whole season saying there are no goals in this team then do nothing about it .

New Signing / Frey / Kolli /and A N Other from the development squad for Cups and bench warming cover for suspensions and injuries.
