Vote In Rivals League One Awards 2005/06

Rivals.net League One Awards 2005/6

Okay so the season doesn't end for us until Saturday afternoon but for the majority it has been over for a couple of weeks and with that in mind it is time to cast your votes in the Rivals.net League One awards 2005/6

In conjunction with all the sites in League One on the network we are asking you to cast your votes in ten different categories - as talked through by Richard Ault from those loveable scousers in Tranmere (sorry guys, couldn't resist)

Team of the season

Which team impressed you the most this season? Was it Southend for the fact they won the title, maybe Colchester for surprising everyone and taking second spot? Or maybe you will vote for a side that showed tremendous spirit, played the game honestly or possibly even fought the hardest? It's your call!

Player of the season

Did Lee Trundle's silky skills do enough to win it for you or was there a player elsewhere making you sit up and take notice? How about Scunny's explosive young strike pairing of Keough and Sharp who started the season brilliantly, or maybe it was the impressive performances of someone like Wade Small down at MK Dons?

Favourite Ground

Another topic which will probably be voted on with a different perspective by everyone. Did Swansea's noisy, but ever so dull bowl impress you, or was the tidy set-up at Bournemouth or Yeovil more to your liking? Perhaps it was one of the old school grounds such as Chesterfield or Brentford? Or maybe temporary stands are what you enjoy, in which case it's a toss up between Bloomfield Road, Priestfield and the National Hockey Stadium?

Best Fans

Which fans will you remember from the season just passed? Where they the noisiest or did you simply respect them for travelling 300 miles on a wet Tuesday night in December? Maybe Nottingham Forest will feature for sheer strength in numbers, or, as with the sites independent voting, Doncaster fans remain on top?

Best Stewards

Nearly all of those following their team away from home will have come accross those stewards who get up on a Saturday morning hell-bent on ruining your day? But where there any during the season that you actually thought did well? Friendly and helpful? or is that asking too much?

Half-time entertainment

Penalty shoot-outs at Ashton Gate, dancing ladies in little clothing as Roots Hall or perhaps something else?

Best Pie

Somewhat self-explanatory this one. No Gary Rhodes' required here, just tell us which club sold the nicest pie during the last campaign.

Best Programme

Bored of the ever increasing number of trashy matchday publications that are jam-packed with ads and out of date league tables? Well, a few clubs have managed to change things this season.

Maybe one stood out as being good? Swansea's A4 glossy was different whilst Colchester's well thought out and informative matchday programme was a good read? Vote for which club you think produced the best.

Best Day out

We've had team, entertainment, pie, programme and ground. Bring them all together - was there one ground that had enough of everything for you to call it the best day out? Maybe it was only your teams result that sways the vote?

Best Mascot

Our last category is for the best mascot. There don't seem to be quite as many around these days, although some never fail to show, such as Oldham's penalty taking Owl named 'Chaddy' (right).

Which was the best for you?

And so there you have it - the ten categories and Richard's thoughts on who may feature in them. But from here it really is up to you, all you have to do is cast your vote by clicking here - the results will be announced shortly
