If in the FA Cup it is a case of cannot be drawn at home, the Swans have the opposite effect in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy as they were given their fourth successive home tie this morning when the draw was made on Soccer AM.
Having worked their way past Millwall, Wycombe and Yeovil the Swans now face Brighton at the Liberty in the area semi finals with the winners heading into a two legged area final against either MK Dons or Gillingham.
The competition will swing back into action in the early stages of January with the game likely to be played on Tuesday 8 Jan at the Liberty - just three days after a potential FA Cup 3rd round tie.
The Swans have already entertained Brighton once this season - the two teams played out a dour 0-0 draw at the end of September (report here)
The full draw reads as follows
Northern Section Stockport v Grimsby Morecambe v Bury
Southern Section Swansea v Brighton Gillingham v MK Dons
