Garry Monk believes that the Swans showed Man Utd too much respect as they surrendered their unbeaten home Premier League record

Monk said after the game "We gave them a little bit too much respect

"Second-half we proved to ourselves that we can play against these teams but first-half wasn't good enough.

"Any mistake is disappointing but we'll all share the blame as we all make mistakes

"You make a mistake and you get punished in this whereas they made a mistake and we didn't punish them. We have got to learn quickly."

Meanwhile fellow defender Ashley Williams said "The story of the match will be that they scored their chance, we didn't.

"That's the top teams for you. They had one real chance - they scored. We had one chance - we didn't score.

"If you get an open goal you need to score in the Premier League, but we're not blaming him (Sinclair) at all. Scott said it skimmed off his foot, but it's unfortunate."
