He has announced his retirement, reading social media there seems to be mixed feelings about hi, personally I think that he gave good service to the club and he left at the right time.
We still havent replaced him |

You are our stadium held 30,000 until 1978 when it reduced to 24,500, around 1987 it went down further to around 20,000 and then in 1994 to 15,000.
Come on lets be honest, Pompey fans are always telling everyone how great they are lol
In truth you wont find Pompey fans in many lists either, you will get it from time to time when fans say how noisy they are,, but lets be blunt all clubs have a hardcore who make a bit of noise |

Bella - Kotchap started the season well before he got injured in 2022/23 and had a good spell later in the season when he played in the wins over Chelsea & Leicester& the draws against Man Utd & Tottenham, he showed promise and lets be honest he was surrounded by plenty of players underperforming.
Its not quite right he played for Jong PSV, he played in the first team at PSV a few times before a shoulder injury that kept him out for 4 months, when he came back he played 3 comeback games for Jong PSV and then spent the rest of the season on the 1st team bench, coming off it just once.
Yes his stock has fallen, but it is down to injury, he is undoubtably a good player but he has a dodgy shoulder, if he comes back and gets his head down he could be a good asset next season.
Jak Stewart was an 18 year old free transfer after leaving Everton, he can hardly be described as a poor signing, he was nowhere near the first team.
With regard the Brentford playe, it is about having experience, if a youngster is good enough then he won't block him |

Im sure most of you read something by SFC_Referee, either on this message board or when he wrote some articles about refereeing on the main page.
Tragically he passed away yesterday, sadly he suffered a seizure and fell and hit his head, it is devastating news for his family and i can only imagine how horrific it must be to lose a child, his father is devastated as you can imagine and has allowed me to put up the news on here, in fact he said Elijah ( For that was his real name) would have loved that as he enjoyed himself on here.
Some on here including myself knew him personally, he was just 19 years old and he had a passion for football and of course refereeing, where he had got himself up to a higher standard than many twice his age might not have reached.
He was passionate about Saints and went to most of the games both home and away and as we know he was not afraid to give his own opinion.
How cruel is this World when someone so young and with a zest for life and with everything ahead of him should have it cut so short so completely.
He was a lively character and I for one will miss bumping him into him at Saints games

The ground capacity was below 30,000, its simple maths
The crux of the matter is that we don't round proclaiming ourselves to be the best supporters in the world, whilst posting average home attendances below half our capacity |
