Yes and to add to that, Fabregas mentioned Spain losing their opening game when they won and in '66 England 0 Uruguay 0. We were ok last night, not as impressive as Germany but against a Serbian team that played much better than the Scottish one. A touch of realism. Only one team can win any tournament and they are often decided by fine margins. I've learnt over the years not to expect England to win. I think any tournament at this level you do well to reach the last eight and very well to get to the semis. |

Can that be correct? I thought you could only move and be recalled in the transfer windows. |

That could go horribly wrong DMM. JCS gets a long expensive contract and breaks down in September. Marti gets a better offer in October. I agree with QPR Jim, if we get the right offer for JCS, we sell. We have to stick to the plan. |

Essox has put it very well. 'little dark cloud over my head in the last decade has been the spectre of the owners finally say "Enough" and dismantling the club.' To deny this is a real possibility is to bury your head in the sand. I've been going to LR since 1970 and since 2017 have driven the two of us a 200 mile round trip with our season tickets, to cheer the team on. I would love it, if we somehow could find a way to stay there, find a way to stop losing the huge amounts the CURRENT owners are prepared to fund. If buying the school is a possibility then maybe, just maybe, it might be. Whilst improvements are a must, as we are likely to stay there for sometime, where will the revenue come from to fund them. We are basically throwing good money after bad, ' fiddling while Rome burns'. So apart from saying how much you love the romance and tradition, which I whole heartedly agree with, as well as blaming Lee Hoos for absolutely everything, how do you think we can make Loftus Road generate enough money to carry on funding the club through good times and bad? |

The niggly bit is even as a renewed season ticket holder, I have to pay a £3.50 booking fee for this and then again for Reading and Brighton. |

So how do we make up the £20 million a year (or whatever the figure is) losses? |

I seem to remember one side of Villa Park is like that too. I think one thing against it at LR would be, the SA rd stand is south facing and therefore it blocks out a lot of light and casts a shadow behind it. If it was any higher, this might extend to some/more of the homes across the road from it |
| Forum Reply | Eze for England! at 11:29 4 Jun 2024
His supporting foot seemed to slip as he took it, the keeper was down well and I think it went in off his hand. He looked nervous before it and relieved in his fairly muted celebration. |
| Forum Reply | Eze for England! at 09:26 4 Jun 2024
Eze did all his good work against a tight and rugged defence, determined to do everything they could to keep it at 0-0. It was different for Grealish when he came on, they had just conceded. The game immediately opened up and became considerably easier. They lost a bit of their tactical discipline, with the numerous substitutions and trying to recover the deficit. Palmer woke up a bit after half time but was extremely fortunate with his scuffed penalty, which the keeper should really have kept out. I think he looked tired after an initial season as a regular first team starter. Eze really has something different to any other player in the squad and should go just for that. Where he struggles a bit is defensively. Grealish has the greater experience and is more likely to give better chasing back and cover since joining City. However, whichever one goes is unlikely to start, so as an impact attacker off the bench, is that as important as having the ability to open up a massed defence? |

Thanks again for explaining. I get it, times have changed. Perhaps they should move it to Sunday afternoon and call it the Big Match.🤔😁 |

Thanks for the clarification DaveB, but it was the midweek ones they really messed about with. I think they sometimes moved the 9pm slot on ITV 4 on Saturdays too. I seem to remember switching on and finding Wrestling or some such. I think you need some analysis, just to break it up a bit. I found myself recording it and watching league 1 and 2 on Sunday and Monday. Overall, I think it was much better when Quest had it. |

Nix, I noticed after a few weeks of the season just finished, that the pundits completely disappeared from the highlights show. ITV also squeezed the previously 2 hour show into 90 minutes and messed about with the time and sometimes only showed them on ITV 4 |

Don't think anyone has mentioned Jagger and Richards or Pete Townsend. Just listened to a Dam Penn interview and he has written some great soul tunes. |
