I think you’ve taken things to an extreme to try and prove your point. If you’re happy with buying cheap, poor quality products from China [made by children and people in Uigher concentration camps) and reducing our manufacturing with its knock on detrimental effects to our economy, health, communities etc then yeah I’ll strive towards achieving an ‘ideal world’ because globalism has hugely contributed to the shïtshow we find ourselves in.

It’s not faux sophistication to be revolted by all the mainstream options. I have a strong sense of what it means to be a communitarian/citizen (31 years of public service and counting) and have very strong views about politics. I did Politics at A level aged 18. I’ve always had a very keen interest in it and have followed it closely for 40+ years. I’m perfectly entitled to reject Lab/Con/LibDem/Green and the appalling Workers Party of GB. None of them speak for me.

I’d happily vote for any party that took the railways, utilities, Steel making and nuclear power out of private (foreign) ownership and re Nationalised them all. Whose bright idea was it to get China involved in our Nuclear energy or British taxpayers subsiding French energy via part French State owned EDF? It seems the Post Office is next to be flogged off to the highest bidder.

All the parties seem as utterly hopeless as each other and for the first time since I was able to vote in 1983 I probably won’t bother. How did things get quite this bad?

Gormless is about right. I loathed Dozzell. I never saw one iota of joy or any emotion whatsoever while he was playing football even on the rare occasions he scored. It was like it was all beneath him. Some very limited pro footballers work their nuts off and do the best they can because they live and love the game, Dozzell was the complete opposite. I’m not sure there has been a player that has worn the hoops who I disliked more. Up there with Bosingwa.

I cannot believe the optimism being shown around Kolli. Seeing as this is QPR you’d be far better off preparing yourselves for when he’s poached by some PL unit for a pack of sherbet dib dabs.

If JCS leaves and Fox takes his place would you trust Gubbins to be a cheap backup option?

Here it is folks…the first player link and the season isn’t over yet. Scottish Sun says we’re interested…so it must be true

I think Churchill and Attlee may have something to say about that!

I see Dozzell is getting no where near the pitch/squad for Birmingham in the last few games and that useless lump Roberts is on the bench today. I hope they go down.

This thread fills me with dread. I live alone and have had my first dog for the last six years. We spend pretty much every moment of every day with each other. He’s a beautifully natured Cocker and he doesn’t know it but he’s got me through some very tough times.

I’m not sure how or if I’ll cope when he goes. Fortunately, hopefully, it’s still some way off.

Marti-His Part in our Victory-match thread vs Weeds

The most relaxed I think I’ve ever been watching QPR!

Field my MOTM today.

Good to see Chair and Willock playing close to each other. We look a genuinely different team when they’re feeding off each others. Sad to think that’s the last time the two of them together will grace the pitch at Loftus Rd.

Player of the season
at 09:11 21 Apr 2024

1. Cook. An inspiration, leader and rock in our defensive turnaround.
2. JCS. Come back season after constant injuries was Prem class.
3. Dunne. A Jekyl and Hyde season. Awful in the early part then, Phoenix like, returns playing out of position he solved our rb and corner issues. Cruyf turns…that goal.

I don’t think Cannon was much better than Kakay. Dreadful at corners due to a lack of height which Dunne solved and he offered next to nothing going forward which even Kakay did at times.

Norwich 2 up against Sheff W. Who’d have thought a high press against a poor team would pay dividends!

Armstrong New Contract ?
at 15:33 7 Apr 2024

At only 20 I’m not overly bothered by his goals to games ratio. No one expects him to be banging in 20 goals a season. It’s his standard of play that I have issues with. Goals will come with a foundation of good technique, judgement and ability. Armstrong appears to have none of those three.
