I refer back to my IRA analogy , We would all have liked to have seen them truly defeated & wiped from the the face of the earth but in the end talks had to take place as neither side were going to win by bombing & murdering .

To me talks with the Os start providing they are willing to concede to a 5 point plan .

(i) All legal action & banning orders are stopped & Monies repaid in full.
(ii) Karl Oyston Resigns as chairman & from ALL Football Club activities.
(iii) A CEO be appointed & BST be involved in the selection process
(iv) All Loans be repaid to BFC
(v) Negotiations for change of ownership with BST & Partners commence.within 6 months

New shirt
at 15:46 22 May 2015

I see on real AVFTT that a "non official" shirt is being mooted . I I would Sponsor it if my logo below could go on the back of the shirt , then instead of having a name & number printed on the back People could choose a face .

It is stated that an "Independent Panel" will select the 12 for the Fans Parliament. I have asked for Clarity on who this panel consists of & on what criteria the selections will be made.

I would prefer "Election" rather than "Selection" maybe that could be on the agenda .

First & foremost though is exactly WHO is the SELECTION PANEL made up of . ? I think we need to know exactly how independent they are

BSA Acting Chair stands down
at 16:38 7 Jan 2015

Whilst I do think that BSA should have come out louder & clearer against KO & I have criticised both Glenn & more recently Fiona (for what I saw as a rather weak performance to the press the other week) There is no place or need for personal abuse whether it be by Text FB twitter & especially not whilst out in public with friends & family . BSA surely have to distance themselves from KO & it seems that they have made a statement on their website which is quite strong in condemnation of him & his policies.

just got home
at 01:14 6 Nov 2014

Just got in from the match & to be honest that was the best performance I've seen from pool this season .

Deservedly 2-0 up & should have been 3 . Then a moment of McMahon madness followed by a quick goal that should have been cleared .

Second Half was Alamo stuff , attack v Defence . We seemed to let them have the ball out wide & did little to stop the cross , but when the ball got in the box the team to a man defended gallantly conceding what must be close to a record number of corners . Lewis made several outstanding saves & then it looked like a corner went straight in at the near post(?).

We had no out ball at all second half & didn't win any second ball when we did find our man .

At the end of the day 1 point isn't much use to us , we NEED wins !! but given the the red card it was a well earned point & the players looked gutted with only the one

I noticed on Saturday as I was waiting to get on the stairs at the top of the south stand that 2 of our players after applauding the fans just stood there at the edge of the penalty area watching the crowd depart , they both looked dejected & sorry for the fans . One of them was Orlandi not sure who the other was .

as usual a good read .

"At the end of the game, on my way to the dressing room, I could see the faces of the people leaving the ground and it made me even more annoyed because they weren’t even upset anymore. They were dejected and disenchanted, as if they had finally surrendered. As if we were on a path of no return, or on the way to a disaster that was impossible to avoid. And I will rebel against that"

where do you start?
at 08:03 2 Nov 2014

The only redeeming feature today was the fine quality of the Ale in the P&T pre match & the reading out of a couple of posts from old AVFTT on the Virgin Pendolino en-route back south. Such as this snippet from Mozalini
"He's(Lee Clark) also too fat to wear a suit, he's not comfortable in it and spends half the match hoisting his trousers up because his gut keeps slipping over his belt. Get yourself a shell suit with an elasticated waist. You're in Blackpool now no one will call you for it."

Oystons Exit policy ... really ??
at 07:41 20 Oct 2014

Alot of people say all the indications are clear that there is an "exit policy" being run by the Oystons . That would be true if we were talking about a "Normal" businessman & family but in this case we are talking about the weird & not so wonderful world of Karl Oyston.

He is in "FCUK YOU" mode & is a stubborn, obstinate & obtuse man .He sees the balance sheet & saving money wherever he can as a business goal & overriding issue that it more important than the league standing of the club . He has stated as much clearly when he said "relegation would not be a disaster" some months ago .

We , the fans see the league standing as the main issue as do 99.9% of all football fans I suspect.

Sadly I feel The Os & KO in charge are here to stay & are not going anywhere soon despite the protests , BST et al . He will continue to do things his way as he sees them as the "right & only way" regardless of what anyone else says or does to make him think otherwise .

I too can only see relegation this season . I support Riga in the way he is trying to get the team playing but he is doing this with his hands tied behind his back.

Without serious investment in some Quality players in the January Window we are doomed to go down . The Policy of picking up unwanted Waifs & strays from the championship & below has failed miserably & the much vaunted policy of picking up the "flotsam & jetsome from the premiership" has completely failed to materialise .

In Conclusion I really don't know what the answer is . Continue to support the team in forlorn hope ?
Protest, monetarily & vocally at every opportunity again in forlorn hope ?

It's such a sad & totally avoidable & unnecessary situation that we now find our club in . It Could & should have been oh so different whilst still maintaining strict & sound financial control for the long term security that is also paramount to all concerned .

FAO BSA & All FROM BASIL
at 13:44 27 Aug 2014

With reference to Q6 on the BSA FAQ page & the last sentence of the answer that reads...

"BSA can be confident in the knowledge that BSA is not only the longest serving supporters organisation but that it will be 'A Voice' for the fans for many years to come."

BASIL would like to make the following Statement :....

On behalf of BASIL members past and present, we would like to point out that our organisation was founded in December 1979. This year will therefore be out 35th year of existence as a supporters organisation. We have supported the club through thick, thin and thinner during this period, including a share purchase in the days before Owen Oyston took control.

We therefore find it very disappointing that BSA , in your FAQ page on your website make the following claim:

" BSA can be confident in the knowledge that BSA is not only the longest serving supporters organisation"

This is plainly untrue. We would request that this is updated forthwith.

Yours
BASIL Committee.

Season Tickets (from Official site)

"Supporters who renewed season tickets over the summer will use the same card as last season to gain entry to Bloomfield Road. However, a number of cards may still require re-activation so supporters are advised to visit the ticket office if their card fails at the turnstiles. "
