It's okay "thinking" that he's a decent player... I'm sure he thinks he is as well.... it's another matter to actually see this or for him to show it. I shall not miss him |

Top stuff. This is hugely over psychologizing but look at his body language on the first two goals. He is constantly thinking, theorizing and scenario playing in his mind. A proper coaches coach with his mind always working. We certainly have one here. How long for who knows but our new boy at the helm needs to think about a new contract with a HUGE release clause in my book. |

Disagree on Armstrong. He has definitely improved - he's showing a bit more hold up and lay off and also a bit more of when and where to run. That is decent coaching starting to come through. He's got bundles to do and I am fairly sure he'd agree. Needs to work on the petulance, his shooting is still wayward and a lot of that is down to youthful over exuberance IMHO and he also needs work on aerial ability. That will come and when it does this lad will be worth £5mill minimum in the modern game. I'd be looking at a new 2 to 3 year deal for him as he's showed enough for me to feel he remains a very decent prospect. Love to see him and Kolli up front in a years time |
| Forum Reply | Frey and Kolli at 07:55 28 Apr 2024
I liked Frey’s movement around the penalty box…. Unfortunately his movement around the rest of the pitch not the best. Maybe with a full pre season who knows? Kolli I’ve already said looks a fine prospect Hadn’t heard it was a hammy rip and was starting to get a bit suspicious but hopefully he’s fit soon as possible. A loan for him next year? Maybe he can become a star at Stevenage or Wycombe???!! |
| Forum Reply | Most Important Goal of the Season at 06:32 28 Apr 2024
None of the above. For me the most important goal of the season was scored two weeks ago by Nakhi Wells in the 100th minute to deprive Huddersfield of three points. I felt that properly knocked the stuffing out of them, helped us with the maths of it all and meant our Chef Weds defeat wasn’t too damaging (Okay….. on reflection it was Paals but the Nakhi one more recent!!! Also Sir James Dunnes rocket did build recent momentum) |

I’ve never dug GA out and never will Rather focus on his part in the huge dose of luck that kept us up last season As noted above I’m sure he’s happy for the club and he’ll also point to things like the signing of Cook, Colback etc plus his “gradual loading” approach to pre season as positives. However Gareth wasn’t right for the job, that’s clear to see. A shame but true. I’m also sure he’d be honest enough to acknowledge the amazing job Saint Martí and his team have done. GA has his place in the game and I wish him the very best. |
| Forum Reply | Who do we want to get relegated? at 14:10 27 Apr 2024
I was Brum and Hudds. Hudds purely because I've still not forgot or forgiven that "Weakest Link" banner when hey relegated us. Oh how I laughed in the beach bar in Cyprus some weeks later when Dougie Freedman scored and they joined us. However.... Now we are in dreamland I will say it's Birmingham and any of them down there now. Cheff Weds were dicks up at Hillsboro when we got promoted. Sjoke are just knuts Hudds as above Blackburn are just a boil of a club on the arse of the EFL Plymouth least offensive of the lot but I've had close calls with thier lot twice and it's a pain in the cock to get to so they can get in the paladin bin fire an all Such a shame the warll are safe... Anyway... Christ what a relaxing day, I didn't expect this today... which was nice. |

Credit where it’s due Did say a couple of clean sheets in the last three matches would give him some redemption in my eyes so fair play |

He’s still learning Amazing Has to go down as a legend already Best thing about the club ATM and if we keep him for a couple of years and he gets his players in then who knows |

I work in the central London and West End fit out market I think we’re coming to the end of the post COVID uptick where companies downsized, reshaped and invested in IT solutions That’s combined with general economic issues Don’t get me wrong, I’m bang up for WFH myself as my role allows it and I was doing it long before the pandemic. However if you’ve less people going into the office you have less need for companies to be investing in new office space, less travel for business so less hotels and other spin off industries being supported. I don’t think Construction is on its arse (yet) but in my bit of the sector there’s a definite downturn I’m sure we’ll be fine as there is still a noted skills shortage and once the interest rate drops I’m sure speculative development will pick up again. I could do with it ticking along for 18 months more when I can then either retire or semi retire |

Lots of discussion on this lately. My team in work will basically run out of work in July. Until now I’ve been saying something will come along as it always does but now it’s getting a bit scratchy and I’m concerned for the first time in ages. Interest rates still too high, inflation still too high, too many people, too much WFH, and the prospect of a general election with a bit of turmoil after that all sprinkled on top of major conflicts around the world does not lend to a stable and strong economy anywhere. Just hope we stay up!!!! |

I've always thought football had a bit of a "network" and you need to be in that network. When you're outside of it you get your pants pulled down or are taking pot shots in the dark a lah the Bungle Brothers. Then you have the other "network" where all the wrong uns like CandleFace can be found. However I now think I was wrong. I mean how can these individuals keep popping up getting decent wages when they are so clearly bad apples? Maybe it's the wrong un network being self serving. I am certain if you did a poll on here about the retention of the players we had last season that Brum now had you would get 100% of people voting "DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGEPOLE"..... yet good old Brum thought "they'll do far me skip" I have heard that Dion is far from popular in those parts in any case |
