New Away kit .
at 00:17 16 Jun 2024

Can't comment on what it will look like, other than that I loved the previous pink one and think pink and black hoops would be great; pink and navy even better, as long as the pink is full on, no weak pastel nonsense.

But I do have one piece of information direct from the club, and that is that the away kits should be available to buy in time for the friendlies.

Of course clubs are interested. That's not important. What's important is what Marti wants to do. He is not Beale and it will be at least 3-4 years before Barcelona approach him.

I suppose they might be justified if they're paying you a full day, you're giving up just half a day, and the rest of the money they're paying you is more than your expenses. Otherwise they should definitely reimburse you.

I wonder if anyone has done calculations to estimate what the optimum combination ticket price and capacity could be.

On the basis that the more a ticket costs, the fewer people will pay it (either due to means or principle) the total revenue you can generate has its maximum at a certain ticket price for a given capacity. And for our known limited capacity I am sure that the club has calculated the best options to maximise gate revenue and set prices accordingly.

But say we had a 25000 seater stadium there might be a ticket price low enough that we would fill it and still make as much or more than we do as things stand. It might even be possible to do better at a lower price with 30000 seats or more.

We know we can sell 40000 tickets when the occasion is massive. I seriously doubt we would sell 40000 each week even if tickets were only a tenner at full price. But the fan base does exist, so there is an optimum pair of numbers in there somewhere. If we got that right then a move would be justified, but the location is a factor too. The same people who can afford to go regularly when the price is low enough may not go if it means travelling too far from W12. The further away a new ground would be, the less reliable any calculations would be.

There's a bus you can get right to it from Southall station. Not especially frequent though.

Probably the video played at half time during our league cup win at Villa Park in 2008. It's probably still on youtube. I am not going to look for it.

That's why it doesn't need to go to court. Man City have the option of not following the rules by way of terminating their membership of the premier league. I don't like the premier league for enough reasons that not getting promoted from the championship isn't ever that disappointing for me (though there is always disappointment when we miss out on success of the kind that has promotion as a consequence). City on the other hand clearly do like being in the Premier League, and they will have to accept the rules thereof. I'm sure any court would tell them that as they aren't forced to remain in the league and the league rules do not require any club to break the law, then the rules aren't in contradiction with the law.

In the ten hours, did anyone think to illustrate with a four team case, then six, then eight, until the pattern is obvious?

Dykes injured?

Shop window isn't the point. If he did well in the Euros he would come back all ready to have a great season for us too. Other clubs would want him for reasons that would make us want to keep him too. Even if he didn't stand out that much, just to come back in good shape and good habits would set him up to do well for us. Now he's going to have no pre-season and come into our side very gradually, and by the looks of things having to impress a lot of fans who have already decided he isn't any good. Meanwhile we are going to have to get two new strikers, not just one for the start of the season.

They'd be better off making a properly presented show and putting it straight onto their on demand platform, but the problem is they don't know how to present the football league. Whenever they try it always comes across as an afterthought, coated in thick layers of regret that they aren't covering the premier league.

Begovic - Best QPR Goalie in Years
at 16:20 1 Jun 2024

I won't slate his performances. He's made mistakes but I find those easy to forgive and I appreciate the positives he's contributed. However, if we can get a keeper who is about as good as he is, but younger, hungrier and on a lower wage, then we have headroom to strengthen another area of the pitch and will have a keeper who could develop into something even better than Begovic over a couple of seasons with most of his career still ahead of him.

Marti Contract??

If I were an unscrupulous type with goal of getting a reputation as reliable when it comes to football rumours, I would make a load of wild speculations on twitter ahead of a transfer window, then restrospectively delete all the ones that didn't happen. Then I could take a screenshot of my remaining feed with the dates and make it look like I really know my stuff. I could do this cumulatively whenever there are a couple of manager vacancies and make myself look like a genius.

Quite a lot. Especially if they're bondholders. It's pretty atandard for credit and gift vouchers to expire. I imagine they would like to avoid accumulated credit from previous years eating into the new kit sale income which is pretty significant at the start of the season.

It's free merch. Just pick something you like from the online shop and order it. You'll still have to pay postage (£4 within the UK). You'll have a load more in your account soon from your season ticket renewal and bonds if you have any.

I realise the deadline has already passed today, but there you go.

Surely we'll have other games we can attend between Spain and Reading when we can see more of what the team is going to look like in August. Maybe a patronising friendly at St Andrews for example?

What will they get in Parachutes next season? What's their FFP headroom? Those two numbers subtracted from £190m will tell you how much Doudou they are in.
