Midfielder Andy Robinson was signed from Tranmere by Brian Flynn in 2003 after impressing on trial, he won the Player of the Year award in his first season and becoming a fan's favourite.
He had his problems with discipline in his second season after being sent off twice for head butting opponents, but he sorted himself out and then went on to score 18 goals from midfield in the 2005-06 season in his first season at League One.
Andy is usually played on the left of midfield and sometimes in the centre last season or even up front; he is also a frustrating player at times, as he can be lazy, drift out of position a lot but usually looks better as an impact player - hopefully with the competition in midfield this season he will look to fight for his place.
