Of course I care. I grew up in his 'era'.
I just don't think anyone who is seventeen and playing for Merthyr is a 'top prospect'. The fact people are using Ian Wright and Les Ferdinand, examples from 20 years ago when scouting was no where near as important as it is these days shows how ridiculous the claims are. I hope he turns into the next David DeGea, however it's far more likely he'll be another young adult we make very rich before he moves on to play in the non leagues, or even falls out of professional football completely. | |
