Maybe awful is a bit strong .... but to be fair, not one of his better games.
Very poor at corners, very poor free kick taking, very poor shooting, very poor crossing .... other than those trivial matters, had a good game. |  |

JDG played same position as Shelvey against same team.
What a difference.
He can move the ball from here to there, but he is not a playmaker like Shelvey.
JDG is also awful at set peices expecially free kicks (not only in this game).
Use him as backup for Leon and Canas.

what we said on the chat forum was right, they'll defend anything on here, you are spot on with your observations, most of michus frustration stemmed from jdg holding up the play when the attackers were screaming for an early ball, playing safe is one thing, playing dumb another.

So far it seem apparent that Shelvey is nr. 1 at the central midfield and Guzman is nr. 2.
In the first matchs this season, Shelvey is more direct, much more presens, more speed, physical stronger, better header.
I actually think Ki looked far better when Guzman came off.
