1) Wolves . It’s a shit away end and most of the pubs in the centre only admit home fans. Though you can sometimes sneak in one. Best to drink away from the city and get the train or tram in. 2) West Ham even though they have “ straightened” the ends you are still miles away from the pitch . 3) Man City. Their fans are now very gobby and try and goad you either the ones to our left or the ones to our right. They like to take the piss, yet the richest team struggle to beat us. All this bullshit that Man City fans are down to earth is simply not true and they have grown arrogant beyond belief the last 10 years or so. 4) Everton. Our record there. I do find it funny how you can predict what their fans will sing and do, Everton, Everton after each goal they score against us then the finger pointing when we predictable sing “your support is fvcking shit” pointing out they we only ever take 1500 rather then 3000. 5) Tottenham horrible place and horrible fans . 1) Brighton near and some good pubs. Hoping this season it stays at3 pm on a Saturday, preferably in August or September when the weather is still good. 2) Bournemouth . Near and normally a good day out. 3) Ipswich . Small town with plenty of pubs and should be easy trip on the train ( unless strikes, engineering works or a shit KO time) 4) Brentford . 5) Fulham Both Brentford and Fulham are good areas to drink in ( not cheap mind) and their fans are harmless. |

Totally agree PAT he’s one of the reasons we ended up in the championship. Same with that other prick Bella Kotchup , he can do one as well. [Post edited 4 Jun 18:57]

I think all the fans moaning about 60% increase a lot of those were in the itchen South . Having made a big push for cheap tickets in the Northam end did those in the itchen south really think they were going to get cheap tickets ? Block 4 has gone up around 10% I think which is still cheaper than our last stint in the premier league . Still some fans moan . |

Cracking goal last night what’s that make it 7 or 8 goals this season? Very underrated player by some fans. |

This could be our biggest game for a number of years if you’re not excited and nervous about tonight then I’d say you’re not a Saints fan.! It might be years before we get a game this big again or all bing well it might only be 9 days! |
| Forum Reply | VAR Yes or No? at 13:32 17 May 2024
Exactly we were “sold” that VAR was only to be used for clear and obvious mistakes. What we have ended up with is VAR refereeing the game , checking every goal, penalty etc. I’d go less than 90 seconds- if you can’t make up your mind in 15 seconds then you can’t expect the on field refs to - If you can sport an offside / foul in 15 seconds or under then the on field refs should have. No one ever complained about an attackers big toe being a mm off side. Even drawing the lines is open to debate. Clear and obvious remember. [Post edited 17 May 13:36]

| Forum Reply | Did we go into the WBA game at 17:55 13 May 2024
We were saying something similar on the way home. We did really holding out those 1st 10 mins or so but after that we came more into the game. However we brought on Brooks, Fraser and Stewart but hardly passed to them instead we opted to pass it about in our own half. Way too slow to get the ball forward . On the train after West Brom fans were saying we came for a draw and got it. Fine if you think you can win at home. As grumpy says I hope it doesn’t come back to haunt us. At least we know if we win we are through but, they’ll be saying the same thing. |

If we keep him, loan him again or sell him will be dictated by our finical position. He's another playing that showed a lot of promise and i had high hopes for this season but delivered very little. If we can get a fee for him id say sell him and then hopeful we can get in a player more suited to the championship next season. |

Puel wasn’t a bad manger , in fact tactically he was up there with one of the best we had . The issue was all season we went from a side wanting to win to a side that didn’t want to lose and that’s a big difference. I never forget how we drew with Liverpool at home 0-0 and with no shots on target and how chuffed Peul was . More noticeable was the scousers commented that they never thought they’d see a Southampton team play so negative. You are right he fvcked up our Europa league campaign by both playing weaken sides and those negative tactics . Not just away from home where we all travel 1000’s of miles to not see a single goal but also at home . None more so then against be’re Sheva . As was rightfully pointed out that 8th finish was a bit of luck as 5 mins before then end we were in the bottom half then a series of goals saw us leap frog about 3 sides. However the stats show that season we were the 8th best side. |

Under siege ? Are blocks 1 and 2 under siege from away fans ? What about black 42 are they ? Sorry but I just don’t get the issue that for some reason some think that away fans have to be kept separate. They are not kept separate now , once they leave the carpark at the Northam end they are straight out to Britainia road and mingle with all the saints fans coming out the Itchen and those that come out the chapel that want to get to the main road . Just like some away fans walk the other direction towards ocean village . Just like when saints fans travel away we come out the ground and see home fans and mingle with them . I think a kotof our fan base think it’s like the 80’s still . |

We been getting great crowds this season at home , and I think we’ve averaged more this season then when we went up in2012. However I don’t think it will sell out until after the result on Sunday , unfortunately. I think we’ll sell about 25,000 then any thing other than a bad result at West Brom and the rest will go early next week . [Post edited 6 May 12:09]

Unfortunately we won’t be able to afford him . But you are right those 3 would score goals- if Ross Stewart ever gets back to where he was before his injuries. |
| Forum Reply | "Two thirds of the squad wanted to leave in the summer" at 13:22 3 May 2024
I expect 2/3rds of the squad did fvck off either on loan or permanently. Only 3 that thought they could get a better off but didn’t were probably Adam’s, Walker-Peters and Sulemana. At least Adam’s and Walker-peters still played whilst the summer transfer window was open. Unlike Sulemana who wasn’t to be seen until September |
