Let’s be honest, we had a decent squad for this campaign and some will argue we should have done better with the tools at our disposal, but in the end we gained promotion which was paramount and the Manager achieved that. How anyone can suggest we finished third though when the reality is we didn’t is pretty bonkers but that’s me being a cynic and not really agreeing with the play offs approach (in the same manner that the Champions League should be just that). Am I moaning about us going up via the play offs? absolutely not (lol) and Sunday will hold as one of the best days out in my time watching Saints. I doff my cap to RM and all involved with getting us up, and whilst I remain one of his critics, he deserves the plaudits for harmonising the dressing room and turning around what must have been a pretty poor environment to come into. Not one for continuously changing managers and whilst I think we could struggle with the approach RM likes to play, he deserves the whole season regardless of whether we struggle or not. We have a few decent players for this level but he will need the backing in the transfer market unlike what Ralph had to endure in his last few months where we needed a player or two for certain positions. Trust The Process (cringes) [Post edited 28 May 10:34]

An absolutely belting day out and certainly one for the memory books. Whilst I have had my reservations, absolute respect to ALL involved with getting us promotion. Really enjoy the Championship and gutted the massive mob down the road are still in the shadows, but needs must. The Manager deserves a full season crack at the Prem with some decent financial backing. Onwards and Upwards with a bit of cricket over the summer thrown in for good measure. |

Didn’t we win at Wembley in 2010? |

Call me a traditionalist, but more than happy to have a physical ticket. I think when it arrives and it is all dog eared from the day out, I will frame it alongside a load of selfies I will be taking throughout the day of me and the limbs brigade. |

Ah apologies, stupid view on my part. Fingers crossed it’s a good result Sunday for those under threat. |

Stupid I know, but it’s almost a win - win. Beat Leeds and we are back in the bestest cartel in the world with the riches that go with. Don’t win then we stay in a league with no VAR, no Plastics, and a couple of derby matches thrown in (albeit with the likes of THB, KWP and the few other quality players having departed). Anyone know how many Season Ticket holders Saints have these days? Genuinely curious as never really thought about how much of St. Mary’s % is ST’s. I thought I read that this year there was a solid demand even though we were relegated. |
