Phil Parkinson insists his Charlton side were terrific at the Liberty Stadium

He said after the 1-1 draw It was a good point as Swansea are a good side. After going in at half-time a goal down the lads responded brilliantly.

"We took the game to them and played with more belief and we had a couple of chances where we could have won it.

"Dazza had a great chance and his best attribute is his finishing. He's got in there and the keeper has made a good save.

"We just need to play with a bit more belief. Obviously the way they play we were set up to make things difficult for them. We did that relatively well, but on the ball we needed to show more conviction. In the second half I felt we did that.

"There were some excellent performances. [Therry] Racon was good again and Jonjo [Shelvey] was tremendous.

"From our point of view it's good to come back from 1-0 down at a place like Swansea, but we also have driven on and looked for the win, which is obviously important at this time.

"I was shouting at the referee at the end when he was saying we were wasting time as we wanted to win the game.

"I was concerned he was going to book our keeper for wasting time but we absolutely came here to win the game, just like we did at Barnsley last week.

"I said to the ref I felt he got drawn in by the crowd and also by the Swansea players over-reacting to challenges.

"As much as I admire their play, which is good, there was a lot of over reactions and I felt the ref needed to be stronger in those situations.

"Once you are booked and against a side like Swansea who keep the ball and have clever technical players, you are on a knife-edge. On another day we could have had a player sent off and it would have been a crucial decision.”
