Tom Butler says the Swans can push on from their victory over Sheffield United

Butler struck eight minutes from time after being introduced as a substitute in Saturday's 2-1 win at the Liberty and now finds himself in line for a place in the starting line up on Tuesday night at Doncaster.

Red cards for Jordi Lopez and Nathan Dyer mean that they join a growing list of absentees who will be unavailable at the Keepmoat - a list that should see Butler start his first game of the season.

Talking to BBC Sport, the Irishman said "We are going in the right direction with the last couple of performances

"The important thing is we haven't been losing games.

"It's only one game bans so it's not the end of the world and I think we will have enough cover on Tuesday," said Butler who is hoping to take his chance with all the injuries and suspensions.

"I've been out for six weeks and it's pretty frustrating because when a new manager comes in, you want to show him what you can do.

"It's a slow process with the kind of injury I've had, given my history and I think the manager has been really good with me building me in.

"I played more minutes than I did against Barnsley so to play some more minutes on Tuesday will be great.

"We drew the last two and won this one so hopefully we can keep a bit of momentum going to Doncaster on Tuesday is another tough game away and hopefully we can get another result."
