Voetbal International is reporting that Ferrie Bodde has suffered a re-occurence of last season's injury

Bodde made his long awaited first start on Saturday in the 2-1 win against Sheffield United and came off after just 6 minutes of the game had been played.

The Dutchman went for a scan yesterday to discover the extent of the injury and so farr, here has been no official news from the club or Bodde himself about the results.

It was first thought that the 27 year old came off as a mere precaution, but VI understands that he has again damaged his ligaments and could be out for the season.

After the match, Bodde told the Evening Post: "The knee's okay, it was something on the side of my leg that was the problem, it's not nice but I'm happy we won.

"It was on the outside of my thigh that goes down to my knee and I don't want to take any risks because the season is long so that's the reason I stepped out.

"It's okay, I can still walk, I don't need crutches or an ice machine, but I feel a little disappointed because I had to come off. The season is long and I don't want to go through what I did before.

"I'm in a little pain, but it's not inside the knee like it was last time."
