Back To The League. Friday, 14th Mar 2014 11:11 City will be looking to bounce back from a difficult week which has seen them dumped out of the FA Cup by Wigan Athletic and their dream of becoming European Champions ended at the hands of Barcelona. It's been a little while since Man City last played in the Premier League, and during that time Chelsea have opened up a nine point lead over City. City have three games in hand and a superior goal difference but there is little margin for errorr for Pellegrini's side. Team News City striker Sergio Aguero is a major doubt after he suffered a hamstring injury in Wednesday's Champions League defeat by Barcelona. Centre-back Martin Demichelis is available once again following his European suspension in midweek. There is a chance that Stevan Jovetic could be included in the squad for the trip to Humberside. Matija Nastasic is nearing a return, but it is unclear whether he will be available for this weekend after a knee problem. For Hull there is a chance that Jake Livermore could be part of the squad after a thigh problem. Robbie Brady has a groin problem and looks set to miss out, along with Paul McShane who has an ankle problem, and Joe Dudgeon has a knee problem. Stats - Manchester City have not won a league game at Hull in seven attempts (D3, L4) since a 2-1 victory in their first ever visit in 1909. - Hull's 2-0 defeat at the Etihad earlier this season is the only time in five previous Premier League meetings that they have failed to score. - City are six points down on their tally after 26 games of their title-winning 2011-12 season. - Hull have won just one of their last seven Premier League home matches. - There have only been two goals in City's last three Premier League matches, this after 62 goals were scored in their previous 14 games (almost 4.5 per game).
