Manchester City have today released eight players including Romanian goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon.
Pantilimon made 18 appearances for City this season and has been used as the main cover for first choice goalkeeper Joe Hart. City have offered a new contract to third choice Richard Wright who is yet to make an appearance for City since signing from Preston in the summer of 2012. Defender Dedryk Boyata has also been offered a new contract by City.
As well as Pantilimon, Gareth Barry, Joleon Lescott, Alex Nimely, George Swan, Keiran Kennedy and Thomas Agyiri have all been released.
Barry has been on loan Everton all season and may make his move their permanent in the summer. Lescott has featured for City this season playing 24 times, but has fallen down the pecking order and has struggled for first team football during the season run in.
